anyone know how to replace all the combat music with blank or just not play combat music at all ?
currently i play with music slider at 0 to avoid combat but then i dont get the music i actually do want to listen too

has anyone figured out how to change hide in shadows sound effect to play no sound at all?
the hide in shadows sound effect goes off every time i goto the journal/options/inventory and it does not contribute any value at all

has anyone figured out how to change commanding aura (from the Fighter Champion Specialization) sound effect to play no sound at all?

wished bioware had put this game through a "Is this Annoying/agonizing to a human being Test"

I just found this thread searching for exactly the same thing: unfortunately the only answers I found elsewhere involved scripting, of which I have absolutely no idea whatsoever.

It would be really nice to either change or remove the combat music. I love most of Dragon Age... but the battle music drives me insane.

If anybody has any suggestions, please let me (well, us) know before I hurl my computer out of the window. Think about the postman!

I generally leave the sound off and turn on the subtitles so I don't miss the conversations.

I know there are some mods out there that take out some of the sounds such as Schmooples squeaks. You could take a look at those both here and on dragon nexus.

I never thought about Nexus - why figure it out when you can wait for somebody else to do so! Unfortunately nobody else has just yet, just that mod to silence Schmooples, which seems a bit mean, frankly.

I may take a look at how it does it, but my enthusiasm for a new headache is lacking today.

I've been looking around for a (simple) way to get rid of the combat music, if anyone could provide some tips that would be much appreciated.
