I wasn't sure if this should be posted in the toolset or scripting section. Can anyone suggest a good alternative to the default merchants? I've been pouring over alternatives in nwnvault for about an hour.
I've seen shops where you look for items to buy in chests/containers, then must take them up to the merchant to buy. Was this custom or a common prefab I can import?
Anythow, thanks in advance for any suggestions you may know of.

What is your goal? Why do you want an alternative to the engine's normal merchant behavior?

ArgentumRegio has a custom system that does that (items stored on shelves and displays in the shop, PC must take items to the merchant to negotiate a price). There may be other similar systems but IDK - if you saw it on ArgentumRegio (City of Dohral) then it is only available there. I mention this as - if you saw it here, it would be futile to search the vault for the system (it is huge, multi-faceted system that ties into many of our other systems).

You may be able to
mash together two existing systems to get the desired effect you were looking
for. I don’t know if it offers it but ORS 5.1 may have some of the functions
