I never thought I'd ever agree with you, but this.
If the EC flops or the IT isn't true, we can always just move on. After
all, Mass Effect 3 is ultimately just a game, nothing else.
It would be the end of the ME-universe. And as ME is up there with all the
other geek franchises of Epicness and Awesomeness, it's a pretty big
deal for supergeeks like me.
The sad thing about this is that if this game had been the awesomesauce we were (sort of) promised and all believed it could be then Mas Effect would have been important game history!

so the last 10 mintes deminishess the whole game? really?
if you think me3 wasnt epic despite the ending than i have no idea what game you played
your only argument is the ending

I enjoyed Mass effect 3 very much good sir! However we played a game in a galactic war and we barely got any space battles to see and we saw zero ground wars! We were actually (in some way) promised to see the different homeworlds of each race and if you dont know what fans will imagine out of such a promise then just leave now this forum wont make sense to you. Also you cant deney many side quests were reduced to "Fetch for us Shepard please" and "I listened creepily to your conversation here are you cure!". Compared to the amazing groundwork made by Bioware in the 2 first number 3 were kind of a let down.
I just did my 3rd playthrough and i have to say. Oh boy that scene were you target the Reaper with the laser while it comes towards you! EPIC!
Also Priority: Earth sucked big time. Hopefully EC will do something about that.

But if they do something radical like retcon the ending, confirm another game, etc, they can go down in history for fan service and take advantage of the legions of players waiting to give them money for more playable content. The MP will keep going strong, players will stick around to buy additional DLC, and BioWare will be seen as an awesome company that takes care of its players.
Even if it's nothing but a cold balance sheet calculation by EA and they see us as nothing but dollar signs, aren't happy paying customers and an avalanche of viral marketing and goodwill positive things?

Yes.
Mass Effect 3 did not end. It does not have an ending. As many others have suggested, it just stops. The last 10 minutes that people call an ending destroyed one fundamental thing and that is hope. Without hope, there is no reason to go on. No reason to play through all three games again and enjoy the franchise as it could have been.
It's not like you can go through this mess either. No matter what you do, you will end up in it which defeats the whole purpose of trying.
What kind of Humans would we be, to live without hope?
That was beautiful. Well done, sir!

How is there not hope? The Reapers are gone in any scenario and life provides possibilities and hope. That was what you were fighting for, to preserve life.

We were fighting to preserve our civilization. Life is part of it, however, we fought to keep things the way they are minus the reapers.

STOP WITH THE MULTIPLAYER DLC BIOWARE! MAKE AN AMAZING SINGLE PLAYER DLC OR 3 INSTEAD!
they oviously cant since there to busy catering to the babies that threw a tantrum over the ending
if anyone is to blame its the anti ending crowd
thanks to those idiots i have to wait longer now for some single player dlc ( not saying mp isnt fun) but still
Well I'd like to blame the Rainbows and Unicorns crowd but this is Bioware's fault. They've now enabled the toddler so anything people don't like will create screaming fits for other games. Plus, they're delaying actual useful/playable contest PLUS whatever they do likely won't satiate the Rainbows and Unicorns crowd anyways so it is a non-win at all levels.

Well wars change things. You don't get everything and the only loss you get are the relays. It isn't like we got blasted back to the stone ages. You still get to have advanced life and advanced civilization.

But the Mass Relays are important to said civilization. It is pretty much the iconic image of these games. The first thing you see in Mass Effect 1, Mu Relay, the Omega-4 Relay in Mass Effect 2.
Destroying the relays changes everything. It's as if today, ships and airplanes did not exist, suddenly. It goes into the "wtf are we going to do now?" What to do in that situation? Well, I bet you everyone would plan to rebuild the ships and airplanes again. The only difference here is that in Mass Effect, no civilization is capable of making a Mass Relay with the resources they have now.
We wanted to preserve Galactic Civilization. Without Mass Relays, there is no Galactic Civilization.
Milky Way is huge. At 12ly a day, it would take you 1000 years to get to the other side and some civilizations in Mass Effect live on the other side.

Arent you narrow minded if you really still believe all who didnt like the ending did so because of lacking unicorns and rainbows.

well its a known fact that those same people created a thread months ago saying there not going to download it but watch it on youtube
imo they should be happy to get something at all expecially for free of all things
i havent posted much in the me3 forums becaus ei was hanging in offtopic away from this mess and the truth is i believe if those people dont play it they shouldnt have a opinion because how can you critisize anything if you havent played it yourself?
watching a video on youtube dosent cut it

Yes some people did say that but i wasnt one of them! Seriously next time dont make assumptions about people, it will come back and bite you in the ***. I believe Bioware will confirm IT so i know what im talking about.
Some people (including me) were left angry and empty when we finished this game, this game that was to be the pinnacle of an epic trilogy one that we invested many hours in. Then we go to the internet to check what was said about it and we find out many promises didnt happen. We all knew what this game could have been and then see what we got!
I understand your angry so am i. And i believe people who wont download it and play it are stupid too. But then let them be and be reasonable yourself!

So wait, you are saying if aliens showed up on earth and the only way to save all life was to blow up all airplanes that doing so is a "loss" of our civilization?
There's no doubt that losing the relays hurts, it is a loss it will have disruptive social and economic effects but life and civilization will go on. They existed before the relays and they will exist after them.

Like I said. You can build airplanes back up in a jippy. Relays, not so much.
Civilization is dependant on Mass Relays.

Boah..that silly child-insult again...never gets old, does it? Quite childish...
You know what might be a reason why they make an extended cut? Because obviously they are afraid that there are SO many children "whining" because the ME-Series ended like a bad acid-trip that it won't be profitable to make additional DLC...because too few would want to play it all it leads to is their favorite character acting like a speechless moron in the end
It is NOT the Retake-Movement's fault DLC's are delayed, it is Biowares fault of not giving the (majority of) players a fulfilling ending and conclusion to the game...
