I'm sorry OP, but that is something to be reported, as in a part of 'exploiting bugs/glitches in the game.' It is grounds to get banned if you get reported a few times. And cussing out somebody that 'formally' told you that you were being reported, probably doesn't help your chances.
Agreed. Even if you think you were in the right or wrong with exploting the map you're still in the wrong for cersing at somebody for no reason what so ever. Using your mood as an excuse is really lame I might add.
Edit: This goes out to the reporter. Next time don't tell somebody you're reporting them, just report them. Telling them is like adding gas to the fire.

Not to mention on the xbox by telling someone you are reporting them is an offence in its self. You could inreturn report the reporterd for telling you he was reporting you for harassment.

Lol what's all the dang fuss about, sometimes when I play with my buddies we'll all camp up on Hydra's waterfall, its actually pretty fun, well until an objective wave comes. To each there own as long as you don't do it in a public game I don't see why it matters.
This I can see sliding by as long as it's in a private match chances are everybody will be doing it. I can see bending the rules a little if it's a private match.

If it's something as small as this, then I agree, but if it's like credit glitching, then ban them. Ban them all.supertitan wrote...

No, it is someone's business. They let you play multiplayer for free, and get new things if you work at it. Or...if you buy bioware points. I don't typically get all bent out of shape on things like copyright where the business is excessive to the point of trying to turn the law into legal extortion, but if he just worked the normal way at things, it IS free. Instead, he is doing something which BW could actually prosecute as criminal theft. All he would get is the slap of no multiplayer.

I will underline with that I am not a huge fan of bans since we need to keep the small community we have, however being put in a group with people who can't fight the good fight under fair terms (in other words, having to cheat) is a group I don't want to get stuck with. The proper way to fix this is to fix the glitch since cheaters are gonna cheat *shrugs*

2ndly you can still die sitting up there so its not like you are invincible by any means... and if you fall off you can get stuck instead of falling through the map and then you are even more screwed. you aren't getting anything extra out of it so it shouldn't be considered cheating.

not really sure how that can really be considered cheating... if they wanted to fix that they could in a few minutes so its not our problem.

Would you say the developers intended you to be up there or that it's a glitch?

Not cheating at all I once had a guy report me. He thought I was doing the credit glitch because I was playing with my friend as host and lagged out in the middle of the game and joined back in!!!! I hate people like that now
This is a sign that the bug/glitch needs high priority to fix. Lagging out once and coming back with a report is a sign that emotions are high on the subject, and BW needs even more attention to the fix. Some wise people once said it is worse to convict an innocent man of something he didn't do, than it is to let someone go free who was guilty. Hopefully the BW people review this stuff and understand all of that. It is sad that BW does not take more interest (or at least publicly talk about) network issues. Some glitches and reports which follow are just symptoms of a bigger problem.

The only issue I have with the glitch is the one time I saw somebody do it, he would go down immediately, and was completely useless the rest of us running around trying not to die. So basically, it was just a burden on the rest of the team, and I can't see any possible advantage to being in that spot if you can't even take cover behind anything. And did someone else say you can be attacked by banshees and phantoms up there?
I have seen and reported a bug in the item retrieval missions, at least on firebase hydra. On two different games with different people, I saw someone die carrying the object in non-glitched locations, and when they died, both the player and the object fell below the floor. Players could not be revived, and the objects could not be retrieved. There are plenty of cases where someone will glitch like you mention, but not on purpose...yet BW needs to put higher priority on this because of how much it hurts all of the players.

You reported that? And why?? Was it not an accident? something they couldn't control. What makes you think that retriveval thing was deliberate? Don't be a tightass reporting every single thing out of place now.

In this context, reporting a bug may mean telling Bioware that this is a bug, as in a report about the existance of a bug.Bushido Effect wrote...

You completely misunderstand. I reported that as a bug. The player was not reported, the bad game code with the new objectives was reported. Don't be such a brat, read what was written...bug report not equal to exploit. Just letting them know to fix it. How many problems have you reported so they can fix?

How come the people you want to stay end up leaving the game and then you're stuck with the cheaters?
You do realize that all disconnects are mentioned as a player leaving, and it fails to tell you they did not have a choice? The disconnect messages are designed to hide quality problems in the networking code...e.g., it will tell you that your network is bad, even when you know it is not. It seems rare that players actually quit in a game that has gone very far.

NOTE: BIOWARE HAS CALLED RELOAD CANCELING A FEATURE
Reloading a weapon faster than it's meant to be reloaded is a feature now, eh? I guess that means ULM doing jack all ingame on most SMG's is a dandy feature of their list...
I'm not a fan, why give a big heavy gun a huge reload to "balance" it if you can cancel that weakness by mashing buttons?
