Except you're just quite simply wrong.

The credit glitch is a glitch.  Everyone knows it's a glitch.  You have to purposely make it glitch.  This?  Nope.  You roll onto a ledge.  You don't roll and then glitch out and next thing you know you're up there.  You don't die in a doorway and then warp to the top. Your character doesn't actually, well, like, glitch at all.  It just rolls.  No glitch, no exploit, just a roll that winds up landing on the railing.  Who's to say this isn't just a strategical holding point for a sniper or something?  Can they still be shot?  Absolutely.  Do they have to come down for ammo?  You betcha.  Do they still have to come down for the objectives?  Of course.  And it doesn't even make them kill more or finish the wave faster. 

I personally can't stand when people do it myself, but my dislike doesn't mean I'm gonna give credibility to the sentiment that it's cheating.   It just simply is not.

I don't believe it is, being out there is like being on any other part of the map. You aren't invinceable nor are you at any advantage you can't gain from being at any other point on the map.

That's hilarious, you admit in this very thread to doing what he is reporting you for, and yet you throw the word 'false' out there, as if it had any meaning.

And not that it hasn't already been said, but it ultimately falls to the staff that handle these complaints to determine whether it is frivolous or not.

And starting a troll-bait post on the boards isn't going to solve anything, I'll be shocked if it doesn't spiral out of control and get itself locked.

Sounds like a mix of things to me. It's giving the player an advantage over others that don't know about like myself. Is this glitch being done by the player on purpose then it's cheating. If it happens just to happen then it's allowable. However by the cheating topic from bioware nothing like this is listed. Call it cheating without calling it cheating if you want.

Krogans can use heavy melee instead of roll. First dude I ever saw do it was a Krogan Sentinel.

The maps weren't designed for players to roll their way off of them. The Vanguard bug is different in this sense since they cannot control it. From what I've read, if players that know about it are doing it, what the hell do you think players who don't know about it are thinking about you? That you're exploiting a glitch within the map.

If you don't like people complaining about it, then just play with friends who won't care, making this thread was pointless and a waste of time for all of this pointless bickering! And who defends how old they are?? C'mon people

Maybe read my posts again.  In general reporting something then getting no result is bad only for the person reported and their reliability of their reports.  As I said earlier, TWO MONTHS ago, someone else said the same to me, and nothing happened after he said.  "I am reporting you"    Therefore it was frivolous and false on his part.

Yeah I admit I did the map trick, but as others have said it didn't count to a violation.

it may not be a cheat, but the last time i saw people do this it left me and my friend to have all the aggro from the mobs, and tbh i cba with the game if only half the teams going to do anything useful, so we both left on the first objective wave.

last night i got 2 terribads who did that.


they basically left me and another to die.

that resulted in an around 10 minute of them trying to duo from there and the Vanguard wtih a shotgun dieing and the infiltrator soloing round 8 himself.

i was CHEERING for the Maruaders and banshees by the end of it..

i might have been impressed on the guys ability to solo but FOR CRYING OUT LOUD YOU ARE THE REASON YOU HAD TO SOLO AND YOU TOOK A 29 MINUTE THING AND TURNED IT INTO A NIGHTMARE SO YOU DESERVE NOTHING BUT SCORN.



i pretty sure it wasnt the guy in OP, it might have been because the 4th left during mr rambos solo hour. i stuck it out for the credits i had already earned and left after without a second thought.

btw they failed at wave 9. i actually ran head first into a pair of banshees and a brute to make it end. (seriously i just wanted it to end)


i guess my issue with the exploit is not only is it a exploit, its a terribad one to use. it gets your teammates killed very easly and makes you the worst kind of player that no one (but other exploit users) wants on their team.


btw untill that wave me and the SALARIAN ENGINEER had been leading the scoreboard by 4x their scores.

its really not a big deal. i wouldn't call this cheating, but i could carless when people do cheat. its their choice, they will just have to deal with the repercussions.

clearly it was a consequence to your action. if you don't want people reporting you, then don't do it.

1.  Getting reported for it, perhaps a bit of an over reaction
2.  If you do that and you get bottom score when you could have done better, then you are hurting the team and that is damned annoying.
3.  I wouldn't have reported you but I may have said something in frustration at your lack of team participation.

After an analysis you are using the exploit to your advantage in other words you cheated. Play with other people that do the same thing and then it's ok.

Using this glitch is no more of an exploit than taking cover. It's an above-average position because you can't get flanked, but anyone calling the OP out on cheating for this needs to get their heads out of their asses. :\\

it is an exploit, not a trick, dont use it.

Hiding in an area that you know the enemies can't get to and can't really hurt you is an exploit. You are exploiting and area of the game that was never ment to be a playable area.

Just stop doing it and im sure they will do nothing.
