Two options:

1.  Complain to Steam until they provide the 1.05 patch for the UE verision (Steam will correctly patch the "standard" version, but not the UE.)

2.  Use the "Game Support" link under "Help" at the bottom of the page to contact EA Customer Service.  Chose "Ask a Game Advisor", then find the "Live Chat" option.  Tell the Support Rep that you want to switch from the Steam version to the EA: Origin Store version.  Your Game Registration is valid, so they can look it up on your account.

You won't have to pay for it again, but you will have to uninstall the Steam version, (be sure to make a backup of your "\\Characters" folder first.) and download/install the whole thing again.

Since EA and Steam don't seem to be getting along, there's little you can do to change either corporate mind.  What you need to do (as other users have said) is uninstall the game through Steam, reboot your machine, and then install it through the EA Origins client (using the *CD KEY* you got from Steam... not the promo key, but the CD KEY).  Since you have the "Ultimate Edition", it will download both the core game, the expansion pack (Awakening) and all the DLC.  It's a big download, between 24 and 27 gigs.

Once it's downloaded, manually install Patch 1.05.

From then on, you don't need to run the EA Origin client-- simply start it from the Dragon Age desktop icon.

Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition on Steam just updated to 1.05 for me, so GearsOFwarKF, I would recommend you to verify if your Steam copy also have the update waiting.

Right-click -> Properties -> Local files -> Verify integrity of game cache...

I contacted Chris Priestly this afternoon, and he was able to work through Bioware to resolve the issue. Steam corrected an error on their end, so now the 1.05 should move for DA:O UE customers on that service-- although users might need to restart their Steam/Valve client first.
