Hi everybody.
I have a problem with completing this quest ( Missing Marines ) and the problem is Im at the end of story line, just before traveling to ilos, and as you know at this point you can not go back to citidel ( there is no Dock option on it ), because you stole the normandy before and you will be arrested.
What's the solution and dont tell me you must play earlier save please! Posted Image

You've already identified the solution. Unfortunately it's the one you asked not to hear. Sorry but this is one of those quests that just can't be left that late on the game. Worse news is that it's supposed to lead to further related side quests, though I'm not sure if you can't get those just by visiting the right worlds.

Aaaah...
I was afraid of this. There are so many things i've done and loading an earlier save would be a disaster! Pufff...
If there is anything else I should know, please tell me.
Thanks alot...

Bit difficult without making a long list asking did you go here, did you do this, did you talk to this person etc. But I'm guessing this is your first playthrough, and if so then you'll find that no matter how much you complete you cannot get past level 50 as there's a level cap there. So if you want to try to get to the absolute maximum of level 60 you'll need to play a New Game + with the same character anyway, and having missed a bit this time you've got the perfect excuse :-D

And now you'll know to double check you've done all the side quests and visited every system and talked to everyone before you leave for Ilos. Any outstanding Citadel quests can be completed on your last visit there because you can just tell Anderson that you're not ready to go just yet, then go do the quests before going back to Flux and telling him you're ready now. Any outstanding quests on other worlds can be done after he helps you bust out of there with the Normandy. So for example you could have done Missing Marines by talking to Adm Kohaku while Anderson waited for you in the club, then left the Citadel with the stolen Normandy and gone on to do the two follow up quests that come after talking to Kohaku (Cerberus and I think Hades' Dogs). Personally I find it easiest just to do everything before I go to Virmire and after that it's just plot missions all the way to the end.

I'm a bit of a completist and usually do things in a certain order. I usually postpone missions as long as possible. At least plot related missions. I try to do the assignments and character missions first. Gaining money, levels and skills. I personally found plot missions easier when you have more tricks up your sleeve (upgraded armor, weapons and more or stronger skills).

It did feel a little silly, with the Saren and Geth problem to decide to use your precious and important time scanning keepers, chatting to people, gambling, travelling all across the galaxy, punching monkeys, standing on pyramids, watching space cows, posing to take a screen cap of Garrus in his Nihlus armor against a sunset, but carefully avoiding the planets which are critical for the mission, etc. It was such a bad mistake to make me a Spectre :P

But I am afraid you will have to use a old save. In ME2 I made such a mistake as well. I was almost done with all I had wanted to do, but the story decided that it was time to continue on. So I had to reuse a old save and replay a few assignments and a mission. And I had to change the order in which I wanted to do assignments and missions to prevent it from happening again.

So doing as many as possible assignments first and only doing character missions, until you have to do a plot mission, is the best way to get everything done.

This made me laugh so much, I feel *exactly* the same on my playthroughs. Here we are, the galaxy is burning down around us, and all my Shepard is doing is trying to sleep with all his crew members, create the greatest model ship collection in the universe and fill his aquarium with as much exotic life as he can.

Yeah, Thanks everybody.
Your tips are really useful. What I must say, if I may, Im kinda completist my self, but about me1, I tried it before and through all of chatting and scanning and walking I found it very boring and the reason I was tring me1 was I just wanna know the story to start me2 with some information. But that didnt go well.
Now that me3 is realesed and after some missions, I realized it has such a huge and beautiful story to tell, and it would be really not cool to dont know everything about it.
And here I am.
I think Im going to finish the game and start new career with same character to do everything I didnt before,

One more time, Im really thankful for your tips guys.
