Sorry, I can't find this answer on the forums.  I have enough points from my acheivements to get the keep download, but I don't know how to turn those points in to get it.  Every time I try to get it, the message says, You don't have enough points, and they want me to pay for it.  Am I wrong? Do you have to buy all points, or can you spend those acheivement points????

A new form of computer fraud?

Obviously Achievment Points only determine the size of your e-peen.

Bioware points to buy DLCs need to be acquired with real life money.

Or do you have to complete the game before redemption of points?

I am a long time player/fan of bioware and RPG's in general. I loved the idea that bioware would award it's player's with bonus content when they unlocked enough of the game. If that is untrue, and you truly have to pay for every one of those downloads, then bioware turned what I thought to be a great leap forward in RPG games into a cheap ploy to get more money:(

It's not actually a cheap ploy to get more money. They've been doing that on the XBox 360 and PS3 for something like 3 1/2 years now (and it's been on PC gaming for a year or two as well) and actually is rather reminicent of the premium modules from Neverwinter Nights 1.

http://dragonage.bioware.com/addon/
What's so hard to understand there? The S written in ligature in the upper right corner of every addon is the symbol used for the common currency used in the USA also known as Dollar or US-Dollar.

If you really thought you get something for free, just because you successfully played their game, then welcome to reality. It's a harsh and unvorgiving place, but you can meet lots of interesting people.

I am here to see whether I can spend my 725/1600 achievement points to buy wardens keep premium content. It would be a lovely touch on the part of bioware if that's the case. If not the case my Dragon Age adventure ended 5 mins ago, having completed the game. >.<

I guess your adventuring is over then. Unless you want to look for some free DLC modules in the Projects section.  As I pointed out earlier in the thread, you have to pay real money for Bioware points (or Microsoft points for the 360 or whatever method Sony uses on the PS3), and the value of DLC is directly related to how much time you spend playing (and replaying) the game.
