Let's see what she said: At least two four-hour sessions.  I have no idea how much usable recordings they average per-hour but let's say its 15min worth of usable material per hour (sounds very inefficent to me).  That's still 2-hours total of usable recording for the EC and how much of that usually translates into game content I don't know.   But that seems plenty for a LI Reunion or a Shepard funeral scene.

Two hours of extra dialogue still sounds like a pretty big chunk.  I don't know what the average is either, but that just seems like a ton of audio.  We know Meers has had multiple sessions too.  I mean, I know that it's not a "total" of two hours if we assume that the EC will allow you to make choices that dictate which audio you might hear, but I think you're right.  It's a lot of audio.  She recorded eight hours of it.  This is just one character.  Maybe this is normal, but it just makes the EC feel like something expansive, interactive and playable with different explanations depending on choices made - or to be made - in this DLC.

Even if it was about 5min of usable per hour in studio that's about 40min of recording.

Enough for, "Joker you !@#$! you ran away without Shepard!"
Then a little speech at Shepard's memorial, "I will miss you.  Give 'em hell up there for me, sir."
or if a LI, "I will always love you Shepard.  Give 'em hell up there for me.  I'll be up there with you again someday."

Hopefully even a LI reunion if Shepard lives and rescues the Normandy  "I miseed you so much!...  Sorry we killed Joker. "

How do you know that all of the sessions were for the EC?

Some of them could've been for other DLC.

- Would you say you love voice acting for video games more than TV?
“Definitely not. It’s a lot more labour intensive. It’s the most labour intensive, it pays the least.

Interesting.

Consider that the actress had "ten plus" sessions for her entire role in ME3, it would seem that two or three of these sessions for EC would be a big deal. Yeah, it could be other DLC stuff. I just felt EC has the undertone of everything lately, including when they interviewed Lance Henriksen.

“Definitely not. It’s a lot more labour intensive. It’s the most labour intensive, it pays the least. The only good thing about it, and the best thing about it is the fans. They’re way more passionate, totally into it, totally supportive, they know what you’re into, they care.

Give the voice actors some love guys. I hate the crappy VA work in most titles these days. Quality voice acting should be treated accordingly!

So, does this mean you guys will leave? You know, seeing as the ending will stay the same and you will eternally hate BioWare?

Not that I want you to, I'm just wondering. What's keepin you around?

Because there is still a chance, however small, that they CAN make good. It doesn't really sound like it, but I'll give them until the bitter end. So yes, if it doesn't deliver I'll be leaving, and I'll be requesting a mod to perma-ban my account since I won't need it again.
