The sessions I’ve had so far have been really simple, and Bioware’s not
changing the ending, but it’s explaining and justifying it more.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

I can't wait for the reactions when this thing bombs.

Best case scenario, I get payed eight hundred dollars a day for working on a film set. And I can sit on my ass for weeks.

You have to pay people to do work. They are not making a return investment for this work.

Making back a loss is considered a loss. Multiplayer may make the money back, but it will never give it a mass surplus.

And no, I wasn't asked to be here by Bioware.

Nice. There's my point right there if in form, not in content. Pay a small amount for some inconsequential **** sit around for a while (as the heat dies down) and then release. Meanwhile everyone on the outside is thinking "wow they're spending so much time and money on this. Surely it'll be awesome!"

EC isn't about covering current losses. It's about preventing future losses. But not in the way you're thinking. They're not trying to bring anyone back into the fold. They're simply silencing them.

Please do show me where I have ever stated that someone elses opinion doesn't matter. My exact words have always been when are you guys going to get tired of bioware spitting in your faces and insulting your intelligence. No where have I said you have to agree with my opinion or the millions of others that hate the game.

I am not talking down to you or anyone else in a condescending tone either, as I am asking legitimate questions. So again, if you don't mind please point out where I have ever insulted anothers opinion and demanded that it be more like mine. You can't because it doesn't exist.

QED. It isn't your opinion that offends me, it is your manner. You are stating a person's opinion is incorrect because you imply they're too blind, stupid or otherwise to see what you see. In other words, you demean the person, or condescend to them.

As I before stated, you're wholly entitled to your opinion, and it's great that you feel passionate enough about this game to voice it. But to insult others because they don't agree is wrong.

Again, I asked a legitimate questions, when will you guys get tired of bioware spitting in your faces and insulting your intelligence. This clarify ending insults pro enders, iters, anti enders and more, because in a snese its calling us all stupid. This in no way says your opinion is wrong, and is not an insult to either group. And I wasn't insulting taboo either, that was poking fun of him, for hating on talimancers, as I said its hard to convey humor on the net.

Also, no where in any of my posts did I call anyone stupid, or blind, again asking a legitimate question does not constitute an insult. As for my mannerism insulting you, well let's just say I don't sugar-coat anything for anyone. I'm not going to pretend to be something I'm not, and I'm not going to talk differently on a forum than I would in person.

I think it's pretty clear the EC is about more than placating ME3 customers.  If there was nothing more planned for the franchise, I doubt they would be putting much (if any) effort into that.  I suspect it is more about trying to minimize the damage to sales of future products.

EC will probably go like this:

Shepard: "I'm going to use my radio to call my love interest for a tearful farewell before obeying the Catalyst!"

<insert LI dialogue here>

Shepard: "Joker, I'm ordering you to run away for no reason."

Joker: "I should really argue against this but I'm not going to. Bye!"

Hackett: "What about the rest of us?"

Shepard: "Don't really care, I'm stranding you anyway."

Hackett: "What was that?"

Shepard: "I said it's been an honour, sir! Now to pick a colour."

And maybe, maybe one day people will stop with idiotic conspiracy theories because they got their precious feelings hurt by a game. No, that would actually make sense.

Seriously, Medea was less vengeful and bitter than you. :?

Lol people and their turd analogies. It just goes to show that the plotholes and other issues people have been talking about are just excuses for most of you guys to not like the game. Even if they fixed those issues you still wouldn't like the end b/c it doesn't take the plot-turn YOU want. I have hope that 4 months of work can produce the required extra dialogue and closure. They say no extra gameplay or endings but how can it take +4 months to make 3 x 5 min cutscenes + 5 min of extra dialogue?

People don't think it be like it is, but it do.

It's just a very rough estimate to reinforce that things like this cost money. Relax.

As far as I know, the only things coming in externally are voice actors. And what do you think production cost primarily is? Wages.

If you are asking me I have no clue. I don't care what it costs. In a business losses are more costly to the companies stature than their bank accounts. You can always find more money if you have the business; people buying, but if said company fails to support their product or deliver the product as advertised then they lose that valuable resource to mkae back that loss.

The debate on whether they should is moot at this point. They are doing so. It is apparent that that decision was made with cost in mind to either salvage business stature or from resources allocated from some other source.

Edit:* Tonely I am not trying to be snarky! I am chillaxed.

How is that a conspiracy theory? Do you think I'm being inaccurate in my assessment if you strip away the cynical wording?

Also, this was a story and a universe I loved. I'm none too pleased that an arrogant writer thought he could shoehorn in some sort of existential Matrix/2001 ripoff ending along with buying into the most paranoid of tech singularity theories into a series that had nothing to do with it.

Do forgive me if I place importance in the fact that one of the few developers that still made games I like is going downhill into mediocrity, leaving me pretty much only with Bethesda.

Yes. That's the point. You lose money now to save future things.

Yeah that's what we're doing on these boards every day talking about it, debating possibilities and how it could be better. We're here, not liking the game. Figure that out all by yourself did you?

Pay attention and you'd learn something.

Interesting when she says all she's done so far is really simple. Considering she's a more prominant figure than ME2 squaddies, it doesnt bode well for them id say.

You can't be accurate or inaccurate in something of which you are completely ignorant. As we all are. We know squat of what will be in the EC.

Well, neither this story nor this universe was designed to please YOU. Or your little ideas of what it was about or not.

Bethseda? The studio that hasn't written a coherent TES plot since....I dunno, EVER? (Even Morrowind was carried by its side quests and sandboxing) And if you tell me that after playing Oblivion with a straight face....well, I suppose I'll just have to stare in shock and disbelief. ;)

I don't know which is worse, the fact that you tried to use medea to compare us "people the got our feelings hurt" or you saying that we are somehow butthurt over the fact the game sucks. You want to know why people are pissed?

Try the fact that casey and mac lied to us all less than a week before the release, no ABC endings we promise, try the fact that they added a day 1 dlc that should have been in the game to begin with, try paying 80 for a game that has one of the ****tiest endings in videogame history only to have Bioware come in and basically say "oh, you're all retarded, let us clarify this for you"

And yet you don't expect people to be pissed off by this? Sorry dude but this goes a lot deeper than feelings being hurt by a game.

*Gags*

The "Pick a color" nonsense again? Yeah, 'cause the only difference between those rather extreme choices are colors. Killing is the same as merging DNAs. And ooh, domination is totally the same as killing too.

Yeah, ever so WITTY.:bandit:

You're missing the point. The issue isn't the endings' implications, its the fact the represenation of three radically different concepts is almost identical in each ending, save the colours. It's lazy, especially considering the greatly differentiated endings that were promised in the pre-release marketing.

Oh, I dunno. Wasn't Medea "lied" to and betrayed by Giason? :wizard:

Us? Who's this "us"? The game "sucks"? Yeah, ok.

I don't give a damn about PR promises. Never have, they are usually white or outright lies one way or another.

I got the DLC for free.

Bioware never said that an the opinion on the ending is just that.

And that's dudette to you. Deeper? Oh yes, I am basically crying my eyes out. Seriously, enough with the bloody melodrama!
