I want a good ending, I want choice, I want actual conversations that don't funnel into paragon/renegade. I want to be able to play the Shep I played in ME1 and ME2 and not BW's canon Shep from ME3.

All conversations in all three games funnel into Renegade or Paragon. Using the middle option simply left you with more grayed out options because you didn't collect enough points on either side.

The whole team created ME. IF Walters truly wrote the endings alone and EVERYBODY else protested but got shut down (Proof, please), that sucks. It can't be changed now though. The EC stands a chance to remedy some of it. Once it's here, I'll be better informed on their intentions and if I am disappointed, I'll say so. I don't even like the endings all that much myself. They absolutely need work. If the EC can do that, good. If not, damn. I simply don't know yet, as the EC doesn't even have a release date yet.

Believe me, I do understand your frustration and the heartbreak you feel. (Not sarcasm) It sucks and I wish someone as invested in this series as you could have enjoyed it more. And maybe things will improve. I sure hope so.

Given the notes and general attitude shown in the Final Hours app and such, along with the sheer inconsistency of the themes and tones of Rannoch/Tuchanka and the ending, I'm sure Walters did it alone, with approval/input from Hudson.
Were there protests? I can't say. 

I snark about the EC because I'm cynical, and it's my way of coping. Of course I want it to be something great, and I'm sticking around there for the (in my view) 1% chance it may be. I don't want BioWare or ME3 to fail. I just fear that they will.

I do understand that. I snark to cope with stuff too. (Shocker, I know! XD)

Hoping for the best & expecting the worst, believe me, I get why you feel this way.

May I just say that I hope your 1% come true?

Not if you constantly shifted and used neutral. I cheated and gave myself enough paragon/renegade because that was a stupid mechanic that left out neutral options that I liked picking. So yeah. You may have had your conversations funneled mine weren't.

I had Sheps that were paragon to certain people, neutral to others and renegade to some and it flowed perfectly well and instead of feeling like a cariture of a saint/douche my Shep felt like a reasonable human being with preferences and I wasn't punished for making my PC into a non-extermist. (That and I love the renegade version of Tali's LM speech. I use that on all my characters. Paragons or no. Being nice doesn't mean you can't chew someone out when necessary).

I liked playing like that. With LOTSB however...couldn't do that.

It's not a suprise that they aren't totally changing the endings...  sure I'd like totally redone endings too but...

The point is simple, there is pressure/heat on Bioware that we do not see. Since ya know they need to do this to help solify certain futures they will have which Taboo has repeated many times over the past while. 

None of this disproves my point. There may have been heat from investors because this situation was getting out into the general media and we couldn't just be dismissed as nerds whining on the internet. The EC announcement alone defused that because it stopped us in our tracks and divided our opposition. Now all they have to do is wait for what little interest remains to die down and release whatever steaming pile they want. At that point it won't matter if it's more ****. They've already won.

If there is a demand, and a loss of proftis it does not matter who it is. Just saying it is a bunch of whining nerds proves nothing to you. They is pressure from people we do not see on them to make sure this is a quality product, or designed to please enough masses to buy more DLC or continue buying games. The annoucement showed they are trying to rebuild and investment, and puts a lot of pressure on them not just from fans but from the people who pay them the checks to deliver to keep making future profits.

There is tonnes of internal heat on Bioware to make sure the investment of your whining nerds, gamers, and newcomers will come back for another installment. They would not be spending money on this if they did not expect they can gain it back in a 1-2 to reinvest in the next game(s).

Lucky for you BW's canon Shep matched up to yours. I know I lost all of my Sheps save 1 who had to be heavily modified. <_< Six out of 7 of my canon Sheps are made to OOC by autodialogue for me to even bother importing (I tried with Rene. That playthrough was painful. Never again).

I'm actually being honest. Not condescending. Lucky for you BW's Shep matched up to yours that you didn't find the autodialogue (and there's alot of it!) completely jarring and OOC along with the two choices that come along. Mine didn't. That's not snarky. It's the truth.
