And yeah paragon deprivation of that line was fail. Just completely unnecessary.

I've been a ME fangirl since the first one came out. I did several completist runs of both games to have several "perfect saves", even replaying 1's idiotic DLC. I care a great deal. I don't care for overblown melodrama.

Pfft you honestly believe future sales will be significantly impacted by EC? Ha, ha and also ha. For every old time fan that swears off Bioware (and the number of those will be far less than these boards will have you believe) three more CODtards will take their place. The announcement was only meant to silence the opposition and silence it it did. All Bioware has to do now is make a token effort only. Maybe it was inevitable. I don't know. They is pressure from people we do not see on them to make sure this is a quality product, or designed to please enough masses to buy more DLC or continue buying games. The annoucement showed they are trying to rebuild and investment, and puts a lot of pressure on them not just from fans but from the people who pay them the checks to deliver to keep making future profits.
There is tonnes of internal heat on Bioware to make sure the investment of your whining nerds, gamers, and newcomers will come back for another installment. They would not be spending money on this if they did not expect they can gain it back in a 1-2 to reinvest in the next game(s).

There is one thing you should learn. Everyone can be brought back, the people who come swearing off something always come back, cause it is a safety net. When a new service is rolled out by our competing ISP we lose 10% of resedential base. After a year they all come back cause something came an offer or an extension back to their safety net which they could not deny.
If EC is good people will come back that is realism. People can be sheep and heared to accept things, if you want to be more obtuse, and attempt to belittle it will only look sloppy on you. This is how buisnesses go they took a bad hit now they work harder trying to bring people back.
