The combat system is totally different then any I've played and I have no clue how to operatet it.. I'm playing on Xbox360 and no matter witch trigger, bumper or button I mash I have no control and can't get my character to fight..

Despite its looks, Dragon Age: Origin is not a third person action game like Fable; it is not a button masher. It was how I tried to play it at first before it 'clicked'.
Once you press A having targeted an enemy your character will attack them until one of them dies. You can switch to different characters. You can choose abilities to use. You can give characters certain automatic commands via the tactic screen for that character.
Of course, checking out the instruction manual (or starting the game with the tutorial guide on) will also help.
