Petitions, petitions everywhere. All this drama over such a minor balance change.
BSN and the ME3 multiplayer could use a little less geth love.
Also lol @ bioware not being impressed :P

As far as I can tell, this seems on point, unless they make an DIFFERENT version of the power; this has been done with Biotic Charge, as the Krogan knows a literally different version, with slower movement speed, damage, and cooldown.

But getting them to go back and do it now . . . I find that unlikely. DLC content aside, there have been very few changes to actual pre-existing gameplay aside from changing a numbers in a database; probably the biggest changes in scope apply to menu/lobby options rather than in-game options. If you look at the balance changes from day 1 until today, every single change has been the alteration of a numerical stat except for a handful of things like adding a cap on respec cards, or a few options while buying Reinforcement packs. The actual changing or addition of game mechanics seems to be outside the scope of balance changes, and only even slightly presents itself during patches, such as the infamous N7 matchmaking system.

None of this is completely relevant, but it serves to demonstrate that its unlikely that the Geth Infiltrator's version would get different treatment unless it became an independent version, and I do not see that happening. Stats will likely have to be applied directly to its Networked AI stat buff, or default values like weight capacity/health.

There are so many things which are different about the Kroguard's charge that it is clearly an entirely different power with the same general effect and identical name. It has different damage/force, cooldown, movement speed, and even different evos. They could do this for the GI, but it would require coding in an entirely new instance of HM, which as I explained in the previous post, seems beyond their level of willingness to provide new content.

Well that wasn't so much a change as how it was when released. But if it's popcical, it's possible. /shrug

Seriously though, This game need Division in the Weapon, Power, and Character loadouts.
The Way things are going, Hunter Mode will not be that much different from Tac Scan, Sabber from Widow, and Soldier from Infiltraitor, Weapons are to be more powerful than others, Powers are to have Better effects and Damage than other, IE 20meter Tac Scan for Three Seconds, and 30meter constant for Hunter Mode Geth.

Right now all you have done is make a Drell with Mattock useing Reave = Male Quarian Infiltraitor with Mattock useing Tac Scan.

Recent changes example:  Geth are Qurian or were Quarian Millitary, So Quarian Tac Scan is 20 Meters, Three Seconds for Team, whose in range I might add, Compared to Geth, stronger unit, Hunter Mode at 30 Meters for self, at Halve shields, 750/2 at Default, Constant effect, This creates a Difference between class Powers and Charaters.
After Changes: 20meters Tac Scan for Three seconds/Range Active Power, vs. 24meters Hunter Mode for Constant at Source Active Power for reduced shields, Result, Players as myself can deal but have less fun do to reduced Differnce between Choices of Characters/Loadouts, Less Exsperenced Playes deal with Nerfed Powers and Charaters with increased Enemies.

So to make my Point clear for You and other Persons whom do not get this simple Post.
Six Different classess with Six Different Characters is 36 Different Loadouts. Add all the Enemy Buffs with Reduced class, Character, Weapon, and Powers choices to create a "Balance" means same Damage Dealt, Received, No Powers Difference in Damage or effect. End Result, No Diversity When Playing With A Krogan/Geth/Male Quarian, and Haman REGARDLESS of Powers, Weapons class Builds.

Its not fun, you lose Market and Gamers intrest on ALL Consoles, Little Majority care about score or leaderboards were it offers no Benefit to get on top. But hey, who am I to tell you what I hear from Lobbies Instead of my, "Taller than Shack" wallet.

Research, Target, Test, Market.

Robots, so easy.

Why is the Hunter Mode nerf silly? Take a look at the damage bonuses from various abilities: 

Total/Weapon damage bonus (with right type of weapon)

Hunter Mode             17.5% (formerly 25%) 
Tactical Scan             32.5% (7.5% from rank 4 evolution) 
Adrenaline Rush       70%
Tactical Cloak            130%

Power Damage only

Fortification               20%
Tech Armour             30%
Barrier                        25%

(not listing the potential melee damage bonuses since that is completely unrelated) 

So the Geth Engineer has his total damage bonus reduced by 30% (25 -> 17.5)
Geth Infiltrator:  130% TC + 17.5% HM + 20% Proximity Mine = 167.5 % bonus damage (formerly 175%)
That's a 4.3% reduction of the total bonus. Yeah guys, that really hurts him :huh:

Compare the two higlighted lines... now which character was that nerf aimed at, precisely? 

So... they tried to balance the Geth Infiltrator by nerfing the ability that already had a lower damage bonus than comparable powers while happily leaving him with the Cloak that gives almost twice as much of a bonus as the next best comparable power while still making you invisible.

Really, Bioware? *facepalm* 


EDIT:
Didn't add in the Networked AI bonus, which can be up to 32.5% more weapon damage or 40% power damage, simply because GE and GI would spec it differently so it's not comparable.

Turns out the 40% SR bonus on the Cloak and 20% from Proximity Mine are actually multipliers, not simply added.

This brings TC to 166% damage bonus instead of 130%   
( [ { 100% base damage + 90% bonus } x 1.4 SR bonus] - 100% base damage )

Total GI bonus would actually be 249%  (formerly 261%), so that's a 6.5% damage bonus reduction, but it doesn't change the argument much.
( [ { 100% base damage + 90% TC + 17.5% HM } x 1.4 SR x 1.2 PM ] -100% base damage)

Really? It was fine as is sure, but it was powerful, and now it's just good. Losing some of the vision range will be annoying, but the damage is not all that much in the grand scheme of things. Gi was probably the best infiltrator and ge the best engineer, they just evened the playing field a little. I'm fine with it, it just didn't really need to be a top priority change.

I play GEngeneer a lot, and i feel that this ajustment hit the class pretty hard, especially considering that it was intented for the GInfiltrator...

Buff the 3 first options of Hunter Mode, Nerf the last 3 could work. I get(h) the feeling that most GE's take the 3 first, where GI's take all 6.

I just played a couple of God matches with my Geth Infiltrator and I didn't noticed any difference in performance. I discovered the nerf when I read the MP balance topic here on BSN.

I have still to play the Geth Engineer after the nerf.

I have to say I'm not pleased by this nerf. I really like Geth classes.

Just a question, with no polemics intended:
Why when someone call for a nerf their requests are often fulfilled but when fans ask for something else they are usually not?

Do you know the "nerfers" here on BSN are just a small part of the gaming community? Most of players don't even come here to post topic.

Do you also know most of them play on PC with pinpoint precision mouses? I'm sure several weapons are overpowered for them but what about the players who play on consoles (less accurate controller) and with public lobbies full of bad player who just want to be carried?

Don't you think they too have the right to have fun, thus need powerful classes/weapons to compensate above circumstances?

I suppose signing this petion would be useless, sorry to OP. 
I'll be honest with you all: I'm really thinking to leave the game because I don't like to suffer impositions from few players who de facto control the equivalent of mass media in this game communty.
As I said I had a great fun with my GI just after the nerf but I'm talking about a priciple, a priciple of democracy and I don't like to be forced to play a game in different way just because some player has so much free time to come here and succefully require a nerf.

As I said no polemics intended. I'm sure BW had its own good reasons, but since I don't know what they are I just described how the things look from a console player who play on random lobbies, mine point of view. 
I respect different opinions so please respect mine too, thanks.

I would agree on buffing it, but if the maintanence cost could be increased.

Activate it when needed, not fire and forget style...
Like reduction to 25% (x0.25) shields and +150% (x2.5) to shield recharge delay.

Also instant decloak for infiltrator Tact Cloak when weapon is fired or power is used (Bonus Power evolution would be required to work as it is now)
