So with the range evolutions, the range decreased from 30 meter to 24 meter, and the damage bonuses were nerfed by 7.5%, did this really destroy the geth engineer?

This hurts the GE a LOT more than the GI that it was intended to nerf.

Nope.

People just see the number and figure that GE sucks now. It is as good as ever. Especially with the new gear.

hmmm well I could still do well on silver with mine at level 9, but I don't think my usual build is going to be Gold viable anymore, unlike the Male Quarian

1. I don't work for Bioware, I can't give you an exact number
2. True, but you can builds for the GI without HM
3. It lets you see through walls and gives you higher damage but with the drawback of half shields, seems useful to me.

I think they have their statistics about class and weapons usage and killing and whatnot.

The abundance of Geth running Krysaes was pretty clear to the naked eye though.

Wrong, if you are a GE that wants to use Hunter Mode, you NEEDED to have max fitness.

The GI can cloak away and regain shields, so the whole 50% of your shields for Extra Damage and Wall Hack, is not an issue for most (specially snipers).

Now the whole trade of 50% of your shields, for Extra Damage and Wall Hack may not be the best deal for your GE anymore...

They nerfed the base vision range too, so if you want to max vision range you can only have +7.5% weapon damage. It's between nerfed damage and nerfed vision range or nerfed damage and the same vision range as pre-nerf.

I get everything other than the range nerf.....

WTF Bioware... You even said so in the press conference or whatever before you released it that it was meant to let you see "HALF THE MAP"

15m is NOT "Half the map"

Nerf one thing about, or nerf the other, but don't be stupid and nerf everything.

Hunter mode was fine. Could have even done with a movement speed buff. It wasn't hunter mode that was the problem, it was Tactical cloak. What needs to be done is have Tactical cloak do what it is -supposed- to, hide you from enemies. A cloak should not make your bullet more than twice as strong.

1. How is that relevant?
2. True, though again, that is hardly relevant
3. The ability to see through walls is certainly useful for a squishy character, regardless of what class they are (not to mention the extra mobility, which again, complements the squishiness).

Anyway, on topic, I can't agree with the train of thought that this "ruins" the GE or that it's too strong of a nerf (I'm sorry but I just don't feel it's that bad), but seeing how this nerf was really meant for the GI, and how the GE didn't really need any nerfs, I do support a Geth Turret buff to compensate.
