Unfortunately it'd take an entire clip to kill yourself with it, and you'd only be able to hit yourself on that first shot.

But it's at rank 1.

What do people dislike about the gun?

What the heck people, have you even tried it? an Eagle VII would be a pretty good gun, certainly not deserving of all the hate it's getting. I wish I had an Eagle VII, I would totally use it. My Eagle I is a fun alternative to the carnifex VI I usually use.

Honestly if I had it at VII I'd make the most of it and learn how to score heavily. It might be quite amazing by that sort of level.

To be honest, when I first got the eagle I, I used it on my DA.
Lucky he didn't rely on his gun too much.

It may not deserve the hate it gets, but with such a low damage output it has almost no qualities that make it preferable to any other weapon.
Other than maybe a full-auto is easier on the finger.

A light full auto that's easy to control is a big plus when you're a power spammer.

I did far better with it than I did the SMGs I've tried on Gold; the ability to use the AP Mod really helped.

The chances of getting an Eagle VII now are 1 in 4^7, or 1 in 16,384.

It's very possible that someone has one, and he is flipping his ****.

It does better damage than all of the full auto assault rifles save the revenant which is much heavier and has much worse accuracy and recoil and the harrier which is heavier and has ammo problems. It also does more damage than all of the full auto smgs except the hurricane of course and the tempest but is much better than the tempest when it comes to armor. Don't overlook the value of being able to equip a penetration mod.

I find that it's more accurate than most other full autos too when not in cover.

Prior to last weaks buff, it had the worst damage in the game. After the buffs it has some of the worst damage in the game, and it pales compared to other pistols (not just the carnifex and paladin either).

IMO the Eagle is worth considering for use on the Phoenix classes. Carnifex seems rather redundant when you're using Smash (which already does heavy damage per hit), and Lash (rapid cooldown, yanks the target around so you cant headshot it). Eagle gives you the CQC utility of a shotgun and the cooldown and fire rate of an SMG. And if you're going to be relying on it for DPS, you're simply doing it wrong.

It's probably worth considering on a couple of other classes too, though I havent put a lot of thought into it.

I think all the Eagle hate is mostly residual and will die out when people realize hating on it doesnt make them a cool kid anymore.

You make the mistake of not comparing it to other pistols.
Phalanx is a very good reliable side arm is much stronger for relitivly the same weight.
Arc pistol (while it does weigh a brick and a half at low levels) shoot faster than eagle for more damage.

Not to mention one should not compare it to the Harrier (or most AR's, for that matter) since the Harrier is a primary DPS weapon and the Eagle is primarily a cooldown/secondary dps weapon.
