Not a surprise to those who actually "listened" to Bioware (unlike Bioware who SAYS they're "listening" but...not so much). It was always going to be the same ending, just MORE of it.

They will NEVER justify "Synthetics ALWAYS turn on their creators" or "I created synthetics to kill advanced organics before advanced organics could create synthetics to kill that would kill them.
See? Aren't you happy that MY synthetics are killing you instead of your own? "

This confirmation (as if it was actually even needed) merely confirms that my time around these here parts and with anything Bioware is fast coming to a permanent and ignoble end.  ME1 and ME2 still sit in repose on my computer.  ME3 sits dormant on a DVD.  Upon release of the offensive anal gas otherwise referred to as the "EC", simply attempting to justify the unjustifiable (logically IMPOSSIBLE), the ME games that are current sitting static upon my harddrive will be uninstalled and forgotten.  The ME3 DVD will visit the microwave (have you ever microwaved a CD or DVD?  Nifty light show!  Only do it for 10 seconds kids.  Blue sparks dance a tango all over the disc surface...just like the blue explosions in the ending of ME3!) and then go into the trashbin.

Well, that certainly doesn't make me hopeful. But at the same time, Ashley isn't a character I consider critical to what I want fixed in the EC. My goal is to make sense of what both Shepard and the Starchild are saying. Now, if Jennifer Hale says her role was very simple, then I'll be very worried.

So basically because she specifically says she's going to be doing more sessions and the ones they're only starting the simple sessions, it means they'll only be simple sessions.

Or are you guys just selectively leaving out the part where she says "I think they’re doing more downloadable content. I’ve been in and recorded some dialogue, and I actually have another session on Thursday…" and just focusing on that last part.

Cause to me, she's saying that she's doing more work and that they're just starting out on the simple stuff.

Agreed, but if they are going to make ashley simple, think of the butchering they will do to the me2 characters.

I am a bit desperate for decent tali and garrus dialogue for this ec

its more about the end of her sentence
"just justifying and explaining more", not sure how you can spin that one mate :P

however you do have a point and maybe I am looking to hard into it

Yeah, I think I can kiss any hope of a Miranda cameo good-bye, in this case.

Whatever the case, I'm sure that this place will have a desertion of fans, bioware was going to lose a large portion of the base regardless of their fixing method, some large group was getting dissapointed by it,

I'm willing to give it a shot, or at least see it on youtube. On a more humorous note though, how much you want to bet that when the EC comes out, you will have troll threads and serious threads about people denouncing it witheout even having looked it up on youtube or seen any reviews for it.

1. What exactly is complex VA as opposed to simple VA ?
Compared to full interactive game with multiple dialogue branches everything the EC could provide can be nothing more than 'simple'. I never got the feeling that we would have a full conversation with our companions in the EC. Thus, no need for companions to have complex content within the EC, nor for their VA to do some over-the-top work. To be honest, I am surprised our companions got extra lines at all.

2. They already said that
Not necessarily a downer. Who knows, maybe they menage to explain it in such a way it makes sense.. who knows :?

3. Look under 2

Trying to justify the ending that's in the game.

Pfft, good luck. This should be worth a laugh.

And then Bioware will officially be dead to me.

Please break down, specifically, the differences between "complex" voice acting and "simple" voice acting. It sounds to me as though you're simply picking and choosing what you want in order to try and fit your agenda.

Until we get actual details, it may be best to not speculate wildly about how terrible everything is going to be and how much BioWare hates you, personally.

We have all of the details we need, and it sounds like more art BS. EC won't help much.

What on Earth does "simple" voice acting mean? I don't understand what exactly we're supposed to assume from that phrase.

"Simple" could mean basic one liners, or conversations that have very little depth.

Initial reaction is it doesn't sound good....

Bioware is listening......lol......

This is nothing regarding the ending we haven't heard months ago; if the IT didn't die then, it won't now. Its believers have the very powerful force of denial keeping them going.

I think that simple meant that they were not hard to perform. For example : dialogues with Shepard are pretty complex in nature because VA has to create emotionally different content/dialogue lines based on what player chose as his/hers response to that companion. They need to create responses that are flirty, angry, sorrowful and so on.

It is 99.99% likely that EC will not feature a conversation between Shep and his/hers companions. Thus VA have very simple, one-direction lines when it comes to their dialogues.

I swear I have seen that "bioware hate you, personally." joke before
see the problem with your argument of waiting and seeing, is it requires a level of trust

As for the complex and simple voice acting, its simply what the interviewee said and it raised alarm bells.

Is it even possible to justify and "clarify" this ending?
