Is it even possible to justify and "clarify" this ending?

Chill out people. We'll see what they do about the ending. They may pleasently surprise us. If they do, then it's fine, but the EC might blow as well. In that case, we can move on and stop buying Bioware products. Who gives a damn. I will pirate everything Bioware from that point on. You reap what you sow, Bioware... am I right?
makes me sad tho ): and I feel sorry for the devs that don't have control over these things.

"Artistically you’ve just got to go with whatever your vision is, no matter what the response is."
Sellers are supposed to meet the expectations of the buyer. That's how it works. That's why the buyer buy. When the seller gets so high and mighty that they think that they can sell anything they want regardless of what the buyer expects, you get ME3. How's that working out for you?

I see no point in EC if nothing will be changed.
I agree. I just replayed the game for the first time since experiencing the endings. I shut it off after the Cerberus base. I just can't play the existing ending again.
I was never one who cared if my Shep lived or died. I just wanted to have my love interest, my squadmates, and my choices to matter.
Sadly, they did not.

I believe they are setting up for an ME3 expansion pack and that the extended cut is simply going to allow us to "speculate" more accurately.
Personally, this would ****** me off more than anything else. It would mean that Bioware lied yet again. We were told that ME3 would close out the series and we would get a true ending.
If they DELIBERATELY shipped a complete turd of an ending because they planned on charging for the ending to the story later on then they move from the "incompetent" bucket more fully into the "greedy and evil" one.

Not a surprise to those who actually "listened" to Bioware (unlike Bioware who SAYS they're "listening" but...not so much). It was always going to be the same ending, just MORE of it.
They will NEVER justify "Synthetics ALWAYS turn on their creators" or "I created synthetics to kill advanced organics before advanced organics could create synthetics to kill that would kill them.
See? Aren't you happy that MY synthetics are killing you instead of your own? "
This confirmation (as if it was actually even needed) merely confirms that my time around these here parts and with anything Bioware is fast coming to a permanent and ignoble end. ME1 and ME2 still sit in repose on my computer. ME3 sits dormant on a DVD. Upon release of the offensive anal gas otherwise referred to as the "EC", simply attempting to justify the unjustifiable (logically IMPOSSIBLE), the ME games that are current sitting static upon my harddrive will be uninstalled and forgotten. The ME3 DVD will visit the microwave (have you ever microwaved a CD or DVD? Nifty light show! Only do it for 10 seconds kids. Blue sparks dance a tango all over the disc surface...just like the blue explosions in the ending of ME3!) and then go into the trashbin.
Well. That was certainly melodramatic.

Uh, great reviews and sales that will top the previous two games. Pretty well, actually.

Without weighing in on whether the ending was good/bad or even the EC, I thought ME3 did a great job creating an emotional "pre-ending"/farewell with squadmates/LI. To me, that was my hope for ME3: a farewell to those characters that Shepard had come to care about.

That is for the game, and it is also before people bought it and realized how sloppy it is. The reviews are irrelavant. And it isn't working out so well, as evidence i use BSN.TheDarkShape wrote...

Looks like EC will be the final nail in the Mass Effect coffin, with this one going straight through the skull.
