Not that I don't think that for whatever reason Bioware have made their bed now they have to stay in it.

I know originally they said "this summer", just wondering if there's been any new info regarding if we can expect to see it by end of August, perhaps later?

Have they established a firm (or estimated) release date for the Extended Cut?

There is no set release date as yet. I would expect August...but by then I am hoping that Half Life 2: Episode 3 will be out at which point I wouldn't care in the slightest about some EC thing. It's literally irrelevant and too little, too late. I am merely using the EC release as the timer that gets me to finally uninstall all ME games (the only Bioware games I've ever owned or ever will) and de-register and close down my BSN account.
I'm really currently enjoying "F.E.A.R. 3" by the way.

I didn't think the ending could make me sad
But they are now trying to justify it ?
Mass effect 3 = bitterness

Good. I hope they don't change the ending. I may be a minority but I feel all that's needed is more context and explanation. Truth be told for many of you their is nothing they could do that would sate you anyway. Even if they did change if the 4chan kids would still lead a campaign anyway.
Wrongo Maylou. If the ending had been SELF-CONSISTENT and even REMOTELY logical I would have gone with it but it is inarguable that it is ILLOGICAL and self-contradictory. It was lazy, un-thought-out, and done by only 2 people in full isolation from the rest of the developers and then just tacked on at the end.

It's execution always reminds of a story attempt I had when I was 12 years old. I wrote the same kind of Kaboom ending when I had loaded too much story onto my plate. But as opposed to them I didn't even like my ending back then.
