He teaches Bethany about magic and if your hawks is rogue teaches you how to be one and teaches carvar warrior skills. so that means he knew warrior skills meaning he was probably a arcane warrior and a arcane rogue and sence he was a mage also he was very powerful.

I don't know about that, but Arcane Rogue is a class that I wouldn't mind seeing in DA III.

The thought of Arcane Archers actually existing in DA makes me smile.
Malcolm is now best character.

Probably just a mage who knew a thing or two about fighting. In the dragon age world through story there is less restriction

If arcane warrior is possible I don't see why a mage do something to increase there speed and agility
precision. Like a rogue.

it is stated in codex entries that Malcom Hawke was a powerful and naturally talented mage who either during or after his departure from the circle plied his trade as a mercenary which implies he was skilled in all forms of martial combat both magical and non magical

He was a mage that didn't rely solely on magic. Though we as players classify everyone into classes it wouldn't work like that in the actual world. classes are game mechanics in reality things would be alot more blurred especialy if an apostate is going to exist successfuly without alerting the chantry to their existance.
