As someone who has never really enjoyed MP gaming very much (I've played some Call of Duty, Halo, Battlefield) but absolutely adores ME3 MP, I beg you, please, PLEASE, stop changing stuff that keeps making the game harder. I don't have anything to prove or vast amounts of testosterone that urge me to conquer everything, I just want to play the damn game and have fun. That isn't an unreasonable request, is it?
I've played tons of Bronze games and finally found a perfect class that I could do very well with on Silver difficulty. Today, the changes you made caused my Geth Engineer, Legacy, to die. Again and again and again on wave 10 of Silver. Any enemy looks at him wrong and he dies!
Why does wave 10 on silver suddenly look like Geth on Gold with the number of enemy spawns??
By all means, add a Platinum difficulty if that's what top-tier players want, but for the love of all that is holy, just leave us crappy players enough tools to get by comfortably on Silver.
Thank you very much for your consideration.
Love, <3
Your hopelessly devoted fan.
I don't think BW is gonna be terribly responsive, but I feel your pain. These days, I find the Geth so unpleasant on Silver that the only time I will play against them is...on Gold. You don't like camping, but with the right strategy and the right team, you can shut the Geth down with minimal difficulties.
Part of the problem is that they have buffed the Geth in the past...but part of the problem is that Silver Randoms rarely enact the same strategies that can get a team through Gold against the Geth. And hell, sometimes, even Gold players just get cocky on Silver. Combined, both of these factors lend the impression that Silver can sometimes be harder than Gold.
I've been in Gold matches where my team and I routinely handed the geth their asses. Only to turn around, play a Silver match against the Geth and get whupped.
I suggest trying a solid, stable team to run through Silver matches on as regular a basis as you all can manage. Set up a strategy and stick to it. Or, if you can't put together a regular team, make sure you communicate with your random players. If someone in the Lobby isn't mic'd, find another lobby, maybe.
It seems like, prior to today's experience, you were fairly confident and capable with your character. But this is a game that focuses heavily on team work, after all. Your own skill may be considerable, but at some point you're gonna need to depend on the other team members too.
You mentioned in another post that you'd tried some other characters like the AA but had limited success with them. Like other players killing targets you have set up for BEs. Your mindset regarding these instances is...far more forgiving than mine would be...But consider this. The goal, especially on Silver and Gold, is to kill as many of the things as quickly as possible. BEs and other types of power combos (tech bursts, fire explosions and what-not) do that faster and better than any weapon or power in the game, short of the missile launcher.
So...if players are routinely doing this, they are impeding your ability to kill all the things. And more to the point, they are impeding the entire team's ability to do this.
While sh*t like that just occasionally happens by accident, when it occurs with the sort of regularity you're seeing, it is an indication that you are running with trash players. And once again, I suggest you find a better breed of team mate. Communicate with them if you're not already doing so to let people know your plans for that guy who's glowing blue. They may be willing to cooperate. Or, they might not have a clue about Biotic Explosions and power combos in the first place.
The Geth engineer is pretty bad-ass against the Geth. The character has some really powerful tools like Chain Overload and Hunter Mode that can shut down enemy advantages or at least provide a slightly more level playing field. And since you've played enough to unlock so many weapons and characters that are rare and ultra-rare, you've got all the experience you need to be a great player...on Silver, or perhaps on Gold if you're ever willing to try it out.
But I think what you really need is a good team.
