Kind of a backhanded compliment, OP.
Still, I'd like to express my enthusiasm for Allan Schumacher's surprisingly frequent references to Ultima VII. With this.
Hey now, you can't post that screenshot without linking to this music!
And thanks, Allan.

John Elper should get some love to. I don't think I've ever seen him be terribly insulting to anyone.
Yay - you are right. BTW,that is the cutest seal of approval I have ever seen. And thanks John Epler. Plus thanks David Gaider.

Oh. I nearly did and all.
There's something about that vintage/resolution of game music. It prompted lots of really memorable melodies and clever use of expressive techniques, articulation etc.
This is my favourite from U7. Uh, in honour of Allan. Definitely not just because I want to link more music. http://bootstrike.co...le=Market Place

Worth noting these guys have also braved the ME3 threads as well, more so than the ME team
Any chance you could pop accross the hall and give them some pointers Allan?
Not an attempt to hijack this well deserved thank you thread. I know the ME team are probably fearful of inciting a riot in the ME threads but IMHO the DA boards show just how positive an experience it is to have the team get into some open and honest discussions with the fan base, we arent all bad
Also love the way you throw questions back at us Allan, IMO it shows your listening and encourages some really positive discussions.
A+ sir

I know most of the Bioware forums are overall negative these days and it probably makes less Bioware devs look at the forums. It's nice to know at least some devs still look for constructive criticism for those who take the time to express it.
I'd like to also give a shout out to David, Mike and the other DA devs who take the time to post in our threads.

agreed. Thank you Allan
For once I can say a Bioware employee has been able to connect with the fans instead of either
a. yelling at us
b. not responding to whats being said
You really didn't need to go there. Off the top of my head, I can't recall so much yelling from, say, Gaider, as defending his position from very aggressive fans. I know there are others (of a number I don't feel safe estimating) as well to whom your statement does not apply. The level of fan-dev interaction here is in general well above average.

And now we're going to insult *every other* BioWare employee who chooses to come to these forums and interact with us.
Stay classy, BSN.
I was going to say that.
I kinda miss Laidlaw and Kirby though. Hope they come back sometime soon.

Since your responses are quite fast, any blood ties with Der Michael Schumacher?

Fun fact that may change how people see my name: My last name's pronunciation is anglicized. When reading it, pronounce it "Shoemaker." Though I'm used to both pronunciations and respond to either.
Also, John feels until I post pics of Krogans with monocles he is still favourite of all time.

I was going to say that.Honestly I've never had devs yell at me or be what I would call unresponsive, and I TALK VERY LOUD AT THEM ALL THE TIME.

Hopefully they are busy developing DAIII.
