1. You haven't given me a reason why. She never said she doesn't care about her looks. She hard as nail but that doesn't mean she doesn't care for her looks. And as clean cut she is in ME1, I would say she does care.

2.Again, with in the characters persona. Any back shot of Miranda will have cut to the butt no matter how unglorious. Even her death scene in ME2 has it.
And with Jack, her coming out with what she is wear is in her character being that she is a punk rock who once **** a belt bra...and it replead alot of people way from her.

1. Yes, I did. Let me give you an example. She is very interested in ManShep, or in Kaidan. But you don't see her overly dressed and loosing down her hair just to attract them. She had a reason to dress like that, yet she didn't. She attracted ManShep with her personality, not her looks. You see what I mean now? When you would think she would wear it, she didn't. So it's not in her personality to dress that way.

2. Are you joking? Every scene of Miranda has a shot with half of her butt at the camera. When you first meet her at the citadel? buttshot. When taking to her at the presidium? buttshot. Even at the terminal she has a buttshot! You almost never see the back of any other character. Except for Miranda. And even then you only see a very specific place of her back...

3. Again, you don't understand what I'm trying to say. You notice Jack's figure more in ME3 than in ME2. In characterism, the white strip is there to cover her. But the game is actually showing us her body, not to mention the nipples. Black would be more sutied for jack to wear. But she was given white. Bacause BioWare wanted to show us more. White is more noticible than black.

Oh, please. It's a role playing game, we take the universe as it is and react to it. If we stop and question every design of every character, we lose that aspect of roleplaying. Reguardless, to how the asari were design and why, in the end based on the lore they are still an alien race with a complete different consept of sexual behavior and ideals.

You mean you are going to ignore the real reasons why those characters are designed the way they are. You are going to dismiss the words of their creators, because you prefer to make up your own explanations which, despite having nothing to do with reality, suit better your imagination.

Ok.

I'm not really interested in talking with people that detached from reality.

If you want to talk about how they made them too sexy, bring the males into the conversation as well which you have been avoiding.

Show me a crotch window in a male uniform, especially on an old male who's supposed to be a sage and a religious leader for his people, like I showed you the huge boob window of Matriarch Benezia.

Only if you're interested in learning why they were designed that way. Which you've already said you aren't, in which case I'm not sure what you're doing in a thread about art design.

The mere fact that you are asking me this convinces me that you watch way too much porn for your own good.

It isn't immature at all.

However, I agree that some of the character outfits are ridiculous, a lot of them somehow manage to cheapen the characters. Look at how the OP talks about Miranda, for instance.

But that is explain in detail in the story.

I'd say "justified" instead of "explained in detail".

Armored, skin-tight pants combined with a delightfully short "skirt" (its pretty much the size of a belt) that conveniently non-covers her ass, indeed, how is that too little material?

2. As I said...The same reason why SHepard is the only one with his/her uniform.

You could simply just admit that there is no reason for it besides blatant fanservice...

I don't mind Mass Effect being sexy, I just don't like it being sexy to a point where it becomes rediculous/unrealistic. Ever do the Collector ship mission (not the Suicide mission) with Jack and/or Samara and/or Miranda ? They just wear a small piece of plastic to cover their mouths even though they are in what is pretty much open space. That's just stupid imo. Things like that really break immersion for me.

Also, I think BioWare should do more with squadmate outfits in the future. Let us choose between 4-5 of them for each character. Having Liara in one outfit in Paragon run and another in a Renegade run adds to feel/immersion of each playthrough imo. But I guess that's a discussion for another thread.

Problem with Bioware-Sexy: they really have problems designing faces. UE3 seems to be part of the problem, but the faces of Ashley and Miranda always looked a bit creepy.

In General, the quality of facial animation was imo worse in ME3. They tried to make them more realistic I guess, but the result was, in my eyes, a creepy expression. Joker is another example.

So nothing against sexyness in games, but well executed please.

To be fair, I always thought Thane had a cleavage window so his skin can breathe or something. I always figured it had something to do with his condition.

But ,like how some people pointed out with some characters, isn't that an excuse for some fans service?(Really I don't care one way or another. I'm just pointing out that most of the points on the fact they made females sexy can be pointed at the males as well.)

The overt sexualization of characters is not just in the OP's head and the presence of some less-attractive characters does not disprove the point.

Why else would ashley and liara each grow a full cup size with each passing game?

i actually want them to be over sexualised, im a perv like that but in all seriousness, as graphics, texture's,lighting etc get better i dont see anything wrong with it in games as its everywhere else in the world anyway. Easy way to resolve it is in RPG'S, allow for character customisation like in ME1 so u can equip whatever u want on squadmates. which ironicaly was EA's doing with ME2/3 as they had default armour.

UE3 takes a large bit of coding for accommodating detailed customization over a series of static configurations. There are some facial configurations in the ME series that cause small, but noticeable rendering errors. Full body customization could be a nightmare to code in UE3 just to avoid that in a larger scale. It's just easier to have a select set of body shapes than an entire spectrum of them.

It would not surprise me, though, for marketing geeks to push a "sexier" selection of Human body types for sales.

We'll see how UE4 turns out, but the trickle of info I've found suggest to me that they focused more on rendering environmental stuff than pawn customizations in UE4.

I totally agree with you here. I wanted and expected Tali to be cute but I didn't really want her to look like a supermodel.
Although it does seem like too many characters in games seem perfect looking, Mass Effect has an excuse for it, being that the game takes place in the future and the majority of the primary characters are soldiers that would eat well and have a rigorous exercise routine.
It seems like Rockstar is the only company that gets it right in my eyes. They make their main characters look human, with flaws, but they also include characters that are intended to be beautiful, yet you can also pick out a few flaws. It makes every character in those games feel real. That's one of the reasons I love their games.
