hey guys, i know many posts have been made concerning this, but i've recently experienced a hard drive failure and lost my dragon age: origins save files.
my characters are still listed online, and i would love to recover them, as playing through origins, awakening, and witch hunt is A LOT to redo.
Please let me know if you know how to recover characters or if its even possible, because if not i'm just going to have to replay the entire thing :/

Yeah, there's no "backup copy" of your characters or saves maintained anywhere else.
Here on the BioWare/EA servers there's just the portrait, stats, and flags for accomplishments (which translate into boilerplate text and the badges that are displayed.).
[EDIT: Sorry 'bout you losing your saves.

A bit late, but for those running the Origins version of the game (which anyone with the PC version is entitled to), you can set it to upload your save games to the EA cloud service. I have yet to use the feature, but it is there.

@sami jo; I've heard that even though the service may appear as an option on your EA Origin account page, it only works for certain EA games and the DA-series isn't one of them.
But I also haven't tried it, since I have the retail-disc version (2X).

If anyone is monitoring this at all....
My husband, Matt Stenger, is the most accomplished G+ player of DAL. The game closes on Sunday and he has NO ACCESS to his character. It is a black screen, as if he has no character-- yet the community can still see and interact with it. He made the top levels, and contributed significantly to this game in hours, suggestions, and encouraging player involvement.
PLEASE help restore his character so that he can save it, use remaining crowns, and finish the game like everyone else. It is important to him, and to the hundreds of people that support him in the game.

Excuse me, but exactly what has any of this to do with Dragon Age: Origins' Tech Discussions?
I have never heard of this thing, which of course leads me to devalue it. Have you somehow confused the "Legends" mini-game with the full-fledged RPG for PCs and consoles?
You really seem to be WAY off-topic!
If you are concerned about Legends, go here:

I see that you have a DUPLICATE, cross-posted into the correct forum. That's breaking the site's rules.
