There's another spawn point in the bottom left hand corner. I think a good place is the bottom right were the spawn point is. Run like hell get there before the spawn and then camp there. You can only be attacked from 2 directions, there is cover and an ammo box nearby. You've got some clear lines of fire so it's good for sniping when they come directly at you from a spawn point in the top or bottom left.

It's not fool proof and you can get overrun, Phantoms are the worst. They're a pain to hit with a SR and the move fast. Banshees, Brutes, Primes move slower and are tougher, but I've found them easier to take down with focus fire from a couple of players. ie GI with a Widow mrk X makes a mess of Brutes, Banshees, just throw everything at it.

Try the room with the medical gear and bed in it, just to the far right of the LZ after you enter the building.

That room is good, but what worries me about it is the lack of an emergency escape route. I guess that making a run for it is a possibility, but then you and the rest of the team need to know when it's time to retreat.

Try the room with the medical gear and bed in it, just to the far right of the LZ after you enter the building. You can easily hold it, since you can watch the room downstairs (where the ammo crate is that lets you take cover - especially good if you have an AJ with bubble - nothing gets out of there alive) and the only other entrance is to your left, which can be just as easily be defended. Plus you have an ammo crate directly in the same room, so you can hold out pretty much indefinitely.

...I've found that room to be an epic death trap.  Honestly... the whole map is in my personal opinion.  Every PUG Goddess team I've ran into can't camp together for longer than half of a wave before all hell breaks loose.  It's a lost cause.  Now whenever I realize I'm trapped on it I dust off my tryhard cape, kiss my five finger 'SWANK' ring for luck and make Partial Extraction/Lone Survivor preparations with Mr. Mysterious the Shuttle Pilot before I flee from my team.

Love the pictures.

But yeah that map... seems Bioware didn't quite polish it enough because it's pretty much the only map where I actually see enemies spawn no more than 5 meters from me.

I think that's intentional on Bioware's part...I think they're getting more cagey with how spawning works...

And yes, the mobs will spawn right in front of you.

Gold with Geth and I'm in the upper left corner of the map, literally 6 feet from that top middle spawn point and on Wave 7, prime and 3 pyros spawn right in front of me as I look upon said spawn point...

It still has two exits - either downstairs to the other ammo crate or to your left either towards the LZ or if you take a right turn to the hall. Never had a problem getting out of there if a nasty Banshee and her girls-club visited and we had to leave prematurely.

And usually it makes enemy spam only on those far spam points. But sometimes they spam right at my fase and if I don't have some AOE gun or power I'm so in trouble.

Thanks for awesome art by the way

This is exactly why Goddess seems easier tha Jade on most PUGs...  people tend to go towards that area anyhow, but not exactly hold the room.  You can fall back to it pretty easily - but on Jade, everyone's usually at the opposite end from the one safer spot on the map.

But a wave 10 hack objective on Goddess can be one huge nightmare.  People claim the upper overlook is bad, but the lower room with crates on the bottom section close to the doorway to the LZ is an almost certain wipe for lots of teams.  The spawns are too close so getting overun is all too easy in that spot.

I usually start camp at the lower right hand corner of that map and kill my way through after thinning the initial wave of enemies and it works really well for me. The four pillar room on the upper right, enemies like to cover against that wall; you can fire right through it even when they are in full cover with the claymore. Not sure bout other weapons.

I think that's more problem with PUG in general and why FBW is so popular - almost every one knows, where there is a good spot to hold your position on this map. On the other maps it's just  a mad running around trying to survive kind of play. I guess a mic and some directions go a long way when playing with randoms.

Every other double Random Gold I play now seems to be Jade + Geth.

The map is just built for enemies sniping you across the map with their perfect accuracy, and the Geth are by far the worst. The only decent place is upstairs to the left of the LZ.

I;m right there with you Elexis but on gold with non-objective waves, you don't want to be using rockets usually and if you're playing geth, those hunters move FAST.

Once was literally on the middle top spawn point and the mobs spawned at the top right stairs...I couldn't even make it to the end of the room as I got cut down by 2 hunters with a prime following up...

ever had a hacking objective in the great hall on Goddess, just some meters in front of that desk? Try finding decent cover there. Wave 10 becomes hell.

This.  If you make sure you are at the red dot at the beginning of the wave then they will not spawn  at the very top spawn.  It is very easy for 2 guys to watch the left staircase and two guys to watch the right staircase.  If at any time either of the pairings get pushed back, All 4 players can concentrate fire down the long corridors at the top.  The long stairway on the left is a great chokepoint and the stairs on the right offer you a great choke point as well as two more fall back choke points.  You also have the high ground on the map and plenty of cover.

I honestly don't mind that hack spot because it doesn't matter where/what you Cobra you're guaranteed to annihilate something worthwhile. I understand where you're coming from though, because it's conveniently nestled between two enemy spawn points and most of the time your team is focusing in one direction.

When rest of the team camps at the balcony or at the LZ/stairway system i go the upper hallways, trying to force a spawn into the lower room with pillars. And then firebomb them. Payback is a b****.

Yep. It is very painful. Probably should leave only two hacking and send one player to either side of the hall, but they probably can't hold their ground either.

Not true at all...

Even if you are at the red dot AND actually looking/facing the top middle spawn point, it will stil spawn on occasion.

On gold, this can be a nightmare on the latter non-objective Waves as you get primes, hunters and pyros in your face....unless you waste a rocket, you'll get splattered damn quickly as geth dont know the word cover....

I've seen dudes spawn at that spawn point while I've been there. So yeah, the red dot is still my go-to camp spot but it doesn't block that spawn point.

Red Dot is the best spot in that entire map, especially in pub games when everybody's running around doing god only knows what. Half of them run for that stupid room that's on fire with barely-restrained throbbing derp-ons, mistaking Sur'Kesh for Noveria and channelling all the free points -- err, enemies -- your way.

Bonus happy if you're a drell adept, male quarian, turian soldier, and/or have a crowd control weapon and can just blow that spawn up before the enemies do anything. Just try to make sure enemies aren't blocking your routes of escape off in the later waves when the banshees and phantoms start gunning for you like Thai hookers and you've just shown off a wallet full of crisp, new twenties.

that 1 isn't so bad compared to the one in the middle lower area with all the plant bins. there is absolutely no good cover and enemies swarm from every bloody direction had that location twice. one time on wave 3 and it took 10 missiles to survive that and a unknown nr of med gels and another time on wave 10 of wich i will not share the horror stories (both vs Cerberus Gold)

OT: i usually hold the lower part of the LZ while the rest seems occupied with the upper room with randoms and seems to work out fine unless 2 of them are running around like headless chickens. when done right they only spawn across the map making it easy pickings. when not done right, see the OP's 3rd pick:blush:

If everyone goes, lower right room is better. But if they run about anywhere, then I follow who looks most competent, or that red spot, or bottom of the stairs from the landing zone.

The only times I see them spawn at the top spawn point is when we leave the area where the red dot is and move towards the top stair of the LZ staircase on the left while the guys on the right are pushed past the two stair cases on the right.  IF at the beginning of the wave, the 2 guys on the left are on the red dot and the 2 guys watching the right are just to the left of the 2 staircases on the right then they will not spawn at the top spawn point.

You do not have to move very far away from these points before the enemy begins spawning at the top spawn point.  It is a combination of where everyone on your team is located, not just 1 individual player.

Goddess against Geth using something uber squeeshy like an Ex Cerberus is much much worst. That's a rage quit waiting to happen.
