I love when my team ignores the lab behind them. Leaves it all for me.

Great maps. The third one is hilarious.

I usually go to the lower right. That gives you good visibility into the spawns on the top right, and to the ones coming up from the spawns on the far left (below the LZ).

Next time I get Jade, I'll try out the red dot position everyone seems to like.

Jos.  It would be AWESOME if BW had something like that in the "extras" menu or something so people can give a little perspective of the maps, especially new ones when they come out ...*Cough**EARTH DLC*...cough...cough...sorry, I got a little speculation in my throat.

I'm actually happy that we don't explain everything right from the word go as far as multiplayer level design is concerned. Half the fun (for me, anyway) when I see a new level in a game is figuring out what makes it tick, what strategies are viable, and what to look out for. Explaining it all away in a video or a post with pictures would ruin that aspect of things, I think.

Also, you should get that checked before it develops into lots of speculation.

Good advice OP.

I thought when I read the "death trap" title of this thread that it was gonna be about not taking cover during extraction lol.

I really don't get why enemies can spawn so close to that upper area. I've played Jade a few times and it doesn't seem right. Is it because the map is too small?.

@Jos Since we have you here in this thread (thx for stopping by, btw! :) - is the exctraction issue on Jade intended? Meaning, if you're in cover you won't get extracted. Or is this a bug that hopefully gets fixed in an upcoming patch?

I agree completyl!

The problem I have is with random players I meet in public that seem to be completly uninterested in figuring it out leaving me alone to cover their backs, which is fine until they start dying and I have to leave my spawn-blocking point / sniper position to revive them and help them out only to have atlases and phantoms spawning right ontop of me.

So, as usual, the problem is stupid players.
Not bad players, they can learn and they pay attention, but stupid players. :)

Also, you should get that checked before it develops into lots of speculation.

Or you could give us some substantial and confirmed information, the only cure there is for speculation. ;)

Doubtful.   A lightning strike fried my xbox ethernet card and I need to wait til Friday to go buy a new xbox.  Sucks.  And Bioware just buffed the two main classes I play.

I like your drawing, but goddess is the real death trap. Have you ever gotten a hacking circle objective on round 10? It is a nightmare.

Oh God. Your Banshee looks like an evil, humorless grade-school teacher and your Phantom looks like the Aramark logo.

Hopefully, it's not lots of speculation for everyone. We do not need that going around again.

I keep a constant eye on the MP section of the forums, and read pretty much anything that directly relates to any levels. Always interested to read people's thoughts on levels (especially when they're critical opinions), so I weighed in on this one. :)
As far as the extraction's concerned, we're looking into it.

The last few times I've done Jade have been as a Justicar. I start upper left, double reave the spawns at the double stairs, go in for the shotgun finishes (either Wraith or Disciple after warp bubble) and then proceed carefully, clockwise around the outer edge of the map. The nice thing about this is that there's usually one person in my PUG who, for whatever reason (probably because I'm awesome - ha!) follows me at a respectful distance, preventing immediate respawns behind me.

I think this is my favorite map as an aggressive AJ because it seems like I'm always getting good area reaves, and because it's well lit I usually see the cloaked phantoms and hunters coming. Things usually work out once the landing pad campers figure out (after a few quick deaths) that it's just not safe there.

My xbox, tv, and all of that is on a surge protector.  My cable modem is in a different room and wasn't on a surge protector.  It got fried and the short got sent back through the ethernet cable and fried the ethernet card.  The xbox still works, just can't connect to the internet.

I have to agree with this. The first thing I do when DLC turns up is take a class out for a solo run around the map so I can figure it out for myself.
In any case, the map layouts and spawn points will be available to anyone who can use google after a couple weeks.

Goddess is easier to me than a objective on Jade that is in the middle of the map - right along the "main street" that runs from the base of the LZ stairs to the "lab" on the far side. That obejctive is a death trap and on wave 10 I've never seen it processed without a lot of death,

And usually it makes enemy spam only on those far spam points. But sometimes they spam right at my fase and if I don't have some AOE gun or power I'm so in trouble.

Thanks for awesome art by the way

This.  If you make sure you are at the red dot at the beginning of the wave then they will not spawn  at the very top spawn.  It is very easy for 2 guys to watch the left staircase and two guys to watch the right staircase.  If at any time either of the pairings get pushed back, All 4 players can concentrate fire down the long corridors at the top.  The long stairway on the left is a great chokepoint and the stairs on the right offer you a great choke point as well as two more fall back choke points.  You also have the high ground on the map and plenty of cover.

I agree with the Red-dotters.  One player behind each of the two corridor partitions (at red-dot, and immediately south) can easily lay down fire along the long halls.  Then, two others can guard the LZ/stair approach from cover.  If the mobs start moving along the third lane, from the rightwards spawn points, then the two "dotters" can call out a retreat for the two LZ/stair guys.  Conversely, if the fire lanes get swarmed beyond what the two dotters can handle, then a retreat can be made through the LZ toward one of the other room areas.

thx again! :) I really love the new maps, they give a more close combat feeling than the ones from Rebellion (which weren't bad, either, loving the vista of Condor and wide-space feeling of Hydra), so it greatly diversifies the map-pool imho.

Once someone is aware of the special "extraction-situation" on Jade it's not that big of a deal, even makes it more challenging but at the same time a bit more unbalanced compared to the other maps.
