FBWGG - Why are people still playing this? It's by far the worst farm you can do. It takes no skill, and it's twice as long as Cerberus/Glacier or Reaper/Glacier.
It obviously does take skill, otherwise no one would fail it. Probably less skill than other gold games, yeah, but you can't just go there and screw around, cause then you die and make your team die.

The biggest issue I see with farmers now is not many of them want to use a Salarian Eng. And when they do they do it wrong. The SE is not supposed to be running towards the enemies shooting them with the Krysae. He's supposed to be behind a counter putting out his decoy, and spamming energy drain. If they have time between all that-sure go ahead and shoot something...but the other 2 are the priority.
One time I found myself in a team without any SE and they all had lower level characters so I decided to switch to my SE because I knew this mission was going to need one badly. I did the SE job spamming energy drain and making sure my decoy was up all the time while shooting whenever I had the chance. We eventually finished the Geth farming without much problems because the decoy spam saved us from being overwhelmed a couple of times. Imagine my surprise when I start seeing red crosses next to my name because "I wasn't doing enough damage".

Who says you can't sit outside on FBWGG? If you have an infiltrator or tank character that doesn't go down why not? There isn't much space behind the counter and if some one is already outside when I jump in a game I usually grab a spot inside and take a nap until objective rounds. I mean FFS if you can't dubs or solo a FBWGG, you probably shouldn't be on the forums ****ing about it.
I'm usually rolling a Turian Sentinel with maxed Chain Overloard and Valiant III, hiding right around the corrner in the back. If anything actually gets close enough to threaten me, I have enough time to back off of the corner, retreat, switch to SMG, and kill it at close range before it becomes a problem for the team at the back door. Having someone out back takes some of the pressure off the side door so they don't get swamped, especially now that the Hunters are much more aggresive. Also makes it so the whole team isn't in that room at once when 4 Geth Primes close in on it, and someone's still capable of reaching their Cobra launcher when the rest of the team doesn't want to use theirs.
I haven't farmed in a while, though, not since maxing all my rares.

The one thing that everyone is missing is it doesn't matter how easy, simple, boring or stupid farming on FBWGG is. It still requires one thing...............COOPERATION.
And if you are one of those players who doesn't like to work with others, leave the game and play FBWGG on your own.
The solution for the rest of us is simply stop playing ANY Gold maps with randoms.
I was hosting a u/u/g match and we landed on fbwgg. Now three of us set up in the upper balcony while the 4th headed down to the campers location. He proceeded to scolded us told us we were doing it all wrong and that we werent team players. I thought it was ironic when a lone wolf accusing his three teammates of not supporting his idea of best. Thankfully he raged quit and the three of us quickly extracted holding the upper balcony with its superior los.
Basically cooperation goes both ways. Perhaps you should talk with team mates about how they want to play rather than assume a strategy.

However, what the OP doesn't understand is that as an Inf. I will stay inside unless there's a couple of reasons for going to the L barriers near he's describing. If there's another Inf moving back and forth in the empty space between the two back L desks to get shots from both locations. That's what I usually do but if someone else wants to, then I go outside. I clear the mooks and primes and if I hear a prime inside while the outside is clear I move to the back door and help with the inside mooks.
When I'm Inf at the outside position, I"m also the one cloaking and reviving everyone on the inside, so I'm not just camping outside all the time.
I will also go outside if there's a bunch of Adepts exploding everything. I'm not ED'ng their targets ruining their BE's and I don't usually have to worry about reviving them much because i'm taking care of most everything coming from the outside stairs that can lay them out, eg rocket troopers, hunters, pyro's and primes. Most of these are an ED and one shot or two shots to kill so I'm more effective to the team taking them out than missing shots inside due to the BE shaking.
I can understand the OP's points, but don't assume that just because someone is at the outside back L barrier that he/she doesn't know what they're doing.

the situtaion you describe makes sense and is fair; however what i am trying to get across is that when you go into the game with 4 people looking to farm FBWGG, there is only 2 ways to do it, the right way (all 4 members camping the control room) and the wrong way (any other scenario)
if you are ALL just in it to have fun, then by all means do whatever you want, but when youre doing farming on FBWGG there is only 1 correct way to do it

When I'm the SE I'm always lower inside behind the L and near the door so as to not block team mates from shooting. Keeps the decoy pretty much in the places it's best, in the doorway or at the bend on the outside of the same L desk (to lure grabs).

From my experience, most people who go outside don't know what they're doing. They usually die early and often, even if there's two ppl out there.
If you can be effective outside, that's great, and I can only hope to get in a game with you. It's just that it's rare to see.

TSe is my go to character in gold geth games (farming or not) although I use the Striker X with Disruptor rounds to make geth mobs have seizures with multiple tech bursts. I max damage reduction on TA because I don't need a really fast cooldown because I want to finish the magazine before using chain overload. But that class is extremely effective.

I've managed to do well out there, outscoring the chain overloaders and grabbers on my own

If it doesn't matter then why mention it? Also sitting their I thin the enemy army for you guys inside so you don't get overrun as easily while still obtaining a higher score. Fear my epeen beating yours! (You obviously care or you wouldn't have brought it up in the first place.)thecrunked wrote...
70% of the time, there is always an idiot camping the outside area behind the divider near the ammo crate in the back of the map (outside and behind a little bit from the main camping room). WTF is wrong with these people?!?! They not going to get as many points as everyone else (not that it matters anyway)

Yea that's why I always have to run inside and get a 3-chain-revive ......thecrunked wrote...
By doing this, you cut yourself of to the rest of the team, once you go down, usually another idiot runs over to help you and you both get over-taken.

The point of the thread is a rant about people that don't know how to farm FBWGG the correct way. Too bad you aren't able to comprehend that there is no absolute right way to farm FBWGG and are an egotistical maniac to suggest otherwise.

It sounds like a real douchebag thing to do but in the end it gets you extracted. Even if it's only you, 1 person extracted is a lot better than the whole team wiping on wave 8 or 9. I get the LONE SURVIVOR medal a lot.
