This is getting annoying. Nobody here is agreeing with me on the acceptable way to farm FBWGG.  This is a discussion about annoying people that don't hold the exact same view point as me on the acceptable way to farm. if you're going to farm FBWGG, YOU MIGHT AS WELL DO IT RIGHT. AND WHAT I SAY IS RIGHT!

For all of the anti farming cry babies, please stop making me look like bad

glad to see you like my fixed insult

too bad you arent able to understand the point of the thread...

The point of the thread is a rant about people that don't know how to farm FBWGG the correct way.  Too bad you aren't able to comprehend that there is no absolute right way to farm FBWGG and are an egotistical maniac to suggest otherwise.

i can tell you from experience, when in FBWGG PuGs, there is only 1 effecient way, and when it is deviated from, **** hits the fan almost every time due to inexperienced players or griefers

Do you have anymore experience than the rest of the people on the fourms?  Seriously, do you?

I use my teammates as a distraction. I use my Infiltrator + Kyrsae X. While they're distracting most of the enemies I run around doing the objectives or shooting the enemies from behind. I'll never revive a teammate unless they're right next to me. When things get too hot I run away, I never stay with the group. Playing this way will get the whole team to extraction almost every time. You only need 1 player to clear the wave. So let your teammates take out most of the wave, then let them die. You can easily mop up the last 3 or 4 enemies by yourself & there ya go! Whole team makes it. But if you stay with the main group you all die & the mission fails.

It sounds like a real douchebag thing to do but in the end it gets you extracted. Even if it's only you, 1 person extracted is a lot better than the whole team wiping on wave 8 or 9.  I get the LONE SURVIVOR medal a lot.

LoL... I guess that's true. I don't mind being dead so much on a farm as long as I get the credits. You don't even have to extract, just finish the objectives on wave 10 to keep me happy :)

Fed up of teams deciding that three people is a good number of people to do the activation wave, and players getting in trouble outside and luring geth in round the back.

I haven't been playing for a while and I want to get some of the new toys. So FBWGG is a good, supposedly straightforward way or earning credits.

That said, I'd like to find teams who will work together and want to farm it. I'll happily play Salarian Engineer, Xbox Live GT 'Cole Frehlen'. If you need a decoy placer who places priority on keeping decoy up, and killing where possible, add me and invite me for a game!

i stick near the staircase behind the small wall and spam Smash through the wall.

kills anything that comes down but primes if i dont stop to look and see whats up there.

4 Cerb characters using smash could kill FBW/G/G easly just by smashing the 2 entry points constantly and killing anything that trys to come in.

Then again, you're on XBox. Maybe it's different over here on PC. I can hold the back corner just fine with a Valiant, and maybe an SMG. Usually have to duck inside and provide fire support or res teammates who couldn't hold the inside room. You seem to be the only one that feels this way. Are you sure you want to continue this argument?

it's not any different on Xbox and honestly it's good practice to keep someone on the corner or in the L to missile revive all 3 inside

I don't always farm, but when I do, I farm effectively. Stay thirsty my friends.

Seems to be mixed results but mainly people agreeing with my points

This is mirrored in the decline of decent random games in general.

I am on PC and it isn't an xbox phenomenon. If you go in a random game now there is a high probability that 0 of the 3 other players will have any sense.

I am about to lose my mind here, I cannot for the life of me understand how people cannot perform this mission with ease. Every single time I play it, I see 1 or 2 of the same stupid mistakes every time that always jeopordizes the mission.

70% of the time, there is always an idiot camping the outside area behind the divider near the ammo crate in the back of the map (outside and behind a little bit from the main camping room). WTF is wrong with these people?!?! They not going to get as many points as everyone else (not that it matters anyway) because they are not in the LoS of the interior, so they can only really focus on 1 area of enemies. By doing this, you cut yourself of to the rest of the team, once you go down, usually another idiot runs over to help you and you both get over-taken. Now there is only 2 people in the control room, who are at a disadvantage. It also creates a flanking situation, because you are drawing the enemies behind the rest of the team, once you inevitably die or are forced to retreat, then it brings the rest of the enemies attacking you to the back door, so the team gets attacked on another front. Also, the divider isn't even really wide enough to get grabs, enemies will usually just go around side of it once they get close, so that isn't really a viable option either.

30% of the time there is an idiot (usually with 1000k+ N7) who things he's the ****, running up the stairs and all over the map. Guess what, your not Rambo, and when you go down 3 times on round 2, I won't be jeoprdizing the mission and my teammates to save your dumb ass just to go down right next to you.

The worst part about these idiots is that while you and your team are carrying them through the mission, you or somebody else will be fooled into ressing them, and they almost never will pick you back up the 1 or 2 times you go down. No, instead they will stick to their idiotic "tactics" and let you bleed out, only to go down in 2 minutes.

These idiots are also typically without mic's, and usually the infiltrator of the group who doesn't capture objectives, or the salarian engineer who either doesn't use decoy, or does outside to help draw enemies toward your flank.

This tactic has been around since the beginning of the game, how the hell do i get matched up with morons that do this stuff EVERY SINGLE TIME I play FBWGG

whiner, thread, I think it's funny that a no skilled counter hugger ****es about how other people play.
Go play SP.

if idiot number 1 is a good infiltrator [does objectives, retreats in a smart way, communicates, scores nice kills, uses strong weapon/equ] then its forgivable. Idiot number 2 should be taught untill he learns, just talk to him patiently and let him die a few times. {I had a lev 1, n7 3 vanguard human who caught up by 3rd wave]. Still, 4 ppl inside 1 decoy, 1 inf and 2 dmg dealers are the dream team

How do people still not know how to do this properly?  Maybe because it's fracking lame and nobody wants to do it "properly" with you.  FBWGG has got to be the most boring thing I've ever done in a video game.  When I land in random lobbies doing this, I run around the map playing my game.  They can either follow or die in the basement.

+1

I saw a couple of people attempt to do it in silver  (I avoid gold) - realized "ahh, that's farming"  and me and the other random player actually ran around the map and played the game.  Seriously, you're mad because other random players actually want to PLAY THE GAME?

Host a private match, invite like-minded people and farm all you want. With your obvious charm I'm sure you'll have no problem finding other friends to farm with. That way you'll avoid all of the "idiots" that want to actually play a match.

I think my favorite "get down here, you morons" moment was when I got tossed into a random on my AA with a QMI and two GIs. The geth stayed up top while the QMI and I went downstairs per SOP, and they proceeded to spend a third to half of each round dead. They never came down, we'd burned consumables by wave 6 because those jokers were cocking things up, and we ended up wiping with one objective left on wave 10. I'll give them credit, those two almost got the objectives done, but either they'd used up all their missiles in previous waves or they never thought to pull them out, which is unacceptable when it's the only path to getting paid.

What I'm getting at is that, whether you hate farmers or not, if you're not going to do things the accepted way, you'd better be pretty danged good at your job or you're just a waste of a space.

(As for griefers, they're dicks anyway and if there's a hell there'll be a spot for 'em. Not much else to be done, sadly.)

Well, the last time I was thrown there, I was searching for bronze... So, yeah, the matchmaker hates me (although we did survive... luckily, I sort of knew what to do... well, not really.).

Easy to answer. What is wrong is that they keep trying to find a gold match, but keep falling in FBWGG, so they get tired and decide to play the d*mn FBWGG, but in a troll way, playing in a not so good position to brake the FBWGG "tatics", making it more like gold, that is what they are looking for, and less like a repetitive boring exercise.

So yeah, 70% of the time you are getting trolled by a bored player that can't find a gold match...

if that is true, then apparently everybody who plays non FBWGG is completely terrible, because the players i am complaining about would have a hard time getting carried thru bronze. its one thing to camp out there if you are skilled, but for the most part, i can't stand the drain of a teammate that can't contribute

sitting outside is great if and only if you are an infiltrator. A GOOD infiltrator at that. Nothing rustles my jimmies more when someone tries to sit near me and aggros a prime or something that would normally ignore me because of TC.

Plus, sitting inside is really really boring, and having an infiltrator out on that corner is very viable.

Thats what I always do with my SI, I clear out tons of enemys outside.

BS
I play Random Gold every day and they win all the time even when they run around or sit out side to the right (my spot btw)
you just need to get off your ass and help out instead of sitting and complaining.
I believe they call it attacking - try it out

oh and these ppl are here to play, not help you farm.

Hey that's me! im the GI or KV doing that...of course, I don't die, usually end up with 90-100k ep (tho not alwasy 1st place), and the team almost always makes it to full extraction. relax, have fun with it. FBW/G/G doesn't have to be as much of a chore as you are making it.

I had a heck of a time today gathering a strong group for FBWGG - after about an hour of failing repeatedly with randoms I finally was grouped with a couple guys who were really good.

It's so hit or miss, but that first hour I was just tilted, and I never get angry at VG's - but when you are placed in a lobby with a Party Leader who has set the lobby up for FBW farming already, I half expect him and his crew to know what they are doing.

Man was I wrong, It was just awful, so frustrating.

i love how when people fail a mission its always there teammates fault. you died too. learn to solo gold problem solved. if your playing fbwgg you not playing with confident gold players. by selecting that map set up your grouping yourself with the worst players playing gold. you choose to put yourself in that situation deal.

I dunno. I had really good luck to day in R/R/G in four matches, extraction in every one (usually full, but Banshees in the last map instakilled two teamates). I have had really good luck lately on the PC in random gold matches. FBW/G/G farming too. I think there was only one failure today in several farm runs (must have been, since I went from 1 million to 2.1 million credits today :o) ). In the end you really only need one really good player, and the rest to not be totally stupid.

What a stupid suggestion. You don't have to be able to solo gold to be a good gold player.
