If you are familiar with Dutch names then with some puzzling you can convert this nick into my real first name. ;)

It needs two steps, which points to another nick, given to me by an ex-employer more than a decade ago.

This nick you see here was given to me by a friend from the US. He started calling me AFW. I had to figure out what the abbreviation AFW stood for.

I think nicks given to you are better than dreaming one up yourself.

If you are familiar with my Dutch dialect you can translate it litterally ;).

I chose it because that's what I am.......

This is my third BSN name, as I was unable to use my previous two BioWare community logins for various reasons. It's taken from a short story I wrote once. The character was inspired by the likes of Flash Gordon (and similar sci fi) and needed a suitably cheesy name. I liked this one!

Cool thread, OP   B)

It is the name of the demon of chaos (The Behemoth) ,wearing the shape of a huge black cat in The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov. As Russians are funny when it comes to transliterating text of foreign origin,it is often the case that "H" becomes "G". So...for them the demon is called Behemot----> Begemot.
The "ka" at the end is a Hungarian diminutive.

So,Begemotka is a little chaos unleashed.

Mine's none too exciting or mysterious. Same as my Steam account. Nickname of my surname and the date i created my Steam account. Then figured it was just as easy to use the same nick at other places too. so if you see a gilberto3001 around the place, most likely it's me ;)

Fun fact I've learned as a forum vet from way back in the old forums-

Dave is in fact the only Dave from Canada.

I wish I could've confirmed this myself when I spent a week there in 2007, but hey, details.

"The Clones" was My first Guild Started by me and some Friends back in '05 (I think it was for WoW or something), it was all good, but then after awhile we all went our seperate ways, The Guild was gone, Stricken from the internet (If you found a Guild called "The Clones" it's not mine).
Flash-forward to last year my old name,
"DragonS33ker" had run its course so I made a new Name,
"TheClonesLegacy"

I also go by "Mr.Legacy" (Since I'm a classy Gentleman)
and "Dr. V Helsing" (I like Vampire movies)
But that's unimportant.

Mine is a reference to the Norse mythological figure Loki. The figure who no one can determine what he actually was and has only proven that he spreads chaos. For that reason I use the name ChaosAgentLoki on this site and many others.

By the way, I think this was a really cool thread. It was interesting seeing what other people`s names stemmed from.

The night I fregistered on the BSN Star Wars just happened to be on TV, but it was the version Lucas tinkered with where Han no longer shoots first. I also love the old Star Wars films, and Han was always my favorite character.

It's a kind of seashell.

I hate having numbers or dashes or other characters in my usernames, so I always try to pick unique words that won't be taken.

Each time I create some sort of account, I keep meaning to pick something cooler, but I''m never inspired.

Gosh I think I've used this name almost half my life now. Ever since I started playing online or using forums Rockworm was always my name.
Not very creative I know but when i came up with it I fell in love with it.
I was a fan of wrestling and for the most part it was because of The Rock.
I also used to play the old turn based strategy Worms A LOT.

Yeah the 503 is used if the original is taken (ironically I have it but I didn't know that until I already registered my games)

Its part of my identity as much as my real name. Its my internet name :D

It's my own little creation. A few years back I started writing a little fantasy story based on lore and a world I had thought up. The protagonist is an elven demigod called Andarthiel and he was the son of the Sun God. So there you go.

I like Ducks and I like Soup?

I still consider myself to be my original name (Gemaphrodite) though. That was given to me by my best mate Josh after listening to Stephen Lynch's "Hermaphrodite"

No, I am not part girl and part boy :P

I have no idea, probably based on the outlaw Billy the Kid. But why can't squid do it. I think there's actually a song about billy the squid. I also go by "Thy Cheesy Lord" because I like cheese.

It was the name of a character in a John Waters movie I saw on IFC when I was a teenager. I thought it sounded like a cool username and it fits my personality somewhat since I never sit still. 6 has no real significance, just a random number.
