Okay, I've been reading over the forums, and I finally think I have a handle on what is wrong with Mass Effect 3. I've been reading a lot of posts complaining about not being able to throw your least favorite characters out the airlock. However, as games such as Fallout: New Vegas and Sonic Adventure 2 have proven, this could be a reality in Mass Effect 3 as well. What Mass Effect 3 needs is a crewmate dismissal terminal on the bridge, similar to the one in Fallout: New Vegas and that giant gameboy in all the chao gardens. Imagine that Ashley Williams has accused you with being a member of Cerberus one time too many and wish to dismiss her from you crew. You would go up to the crew dismissal terminal which is conveniently located next to the airlock. After activating it, it will ask you to pick a crewmate to dismiss, and then an interface similar to this one will pop up. and this music will play.

The description would read "Good-Bye... Ashley will have a happy life in low earth orbit. (Or wherever you choose to dismiss her) You will never see your squadmate again." and after two more screens asking you are sure, it will show a cutscene in which Ashley steps into the airlock with a bindle over her shoulder, kinda making this face at you as she looks back.Image IPBYou and Ashley would say your goodbyes over the intercom before the air lock opens and she is sucked into space.
I know that Bioware has made a lot of great gaming innovations itself, but there is a lot they can learn from Sonic Team about dismissals of this kind. If you're playing Sonic Adventure 2 and your Chao won't stop accusing you of working for Cerberus, you just know that it's going to disappear into one of those grey coccoons instead of reincarnating in a pink coccoon, so why not save yourself the heartbreak? You can send it to live out the rest of its 15 hour lifespan in the forest, where it will be unable to enter your sight, bumming you out. Crew dismissals in Mass Effect 3 should be the same.
If anyone from Bioware reads this, I hope you're taking notes. Add this feature, and you'll get GOTY for sure.

Excellent idea; I approve. Although it would have been even more welcome in ME2.
