I just read a review in the local free rag and I did not like the review. The guy missed the point.

Look, I don't mind people being critical or pointing out actual flaws, but when people write garbage like that review.
The graphics look like "old, old, old Might and Magic" is exaggeration beyond hyperbolic into absurd.
The "dialog and sound don't make sense together" means what exactly?
The "choices are mostly in the form of dialog"? Really? What other kind of choices did he expect? Oh, not picking class, race, skills - not picking which direction to go, whether to sneak past or attack . . . honestly, what choices were MISSING that the reviewer wanted?
Constant references to how small the dialog option text is - what kind of system was he playing on, a 360 connected to a 13" non-HD television?
And finally - rant almost over - I am sick and tired of people seeing dwarves and elves, staple of most fantasy, or evil needing to be stopped, staple of most heroic tales, and yawning as if it's overdone. Is it the typical trappings of most fantasy to the point of being cliche? Sure. But have you ever seen it repeated that Call of Duty keeps "going back to the tired military war story of armies and terrorists and tanks and machine guns, we've seen it all before" or that GTA is "so tired with its focus on the mafia and guns and crime - how often have we seen this?"
Really, this is a sign that the person saying it isn't a fan of the subject matter, nothing more.
Gah, what a half-assed review.
