The Infiltrator class has a lot of firepower, but that's it. They've got nothing else besides firepower, and the ability to, guess what, infiltrate. They don't have high health and shields (HM cuts GI by 375.5) and they don't have many powers. They're meant to get the job done through debuffs and weapon damage, and they do just that. They can't set up 500 biotic explosions like Asari Adepts or Human Sentinels, which are much more powerful than any of their attacks. Tactical Cloak is what gives Infiltrators that edge, just as Biotic Charge can make a Vanguard almost invincible, or as Tech Armor gives Sentinels a MASSIVE boost to durability. It's fine. Leave it alone Bioware. You WILL lose customers if you nerf it like you did to the Falcon. There's one right here.

LEAVE TACTICAL CLOAK ALONE!

EDIT: Here are some solutions to get around Tactical Cloak:
- Have a Private Match
- Use the kick button
- Ask them to be a different class

PROBLEM SOLVED! YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH TC!

Serious thread, no flaming. (Not even going to put a smilie face here like I always do)

EDIT: And check out thos poll:

Signed.

I'd probably just go back to Engineer, but I've grown to love the Infiltrator class too much to see it nerfed into oblivion.

"the infiltrator class has a lot of firepower, but that's it"

Not true. Tactical cloak provides the greatest utility for objectives and avoiding enemy fire in the game. They also have powers like energy drain, proxy mine, hunter mode, and sabotage. All making them very formidable without cloaks damage boost even factored in

"They don't have high health and shields"

Neither does any other class in comparison? Geth Infilly has cloak which makes his squishyness a non issue. The GE on the other hand....

"Or as tech armor gives sentinels a massive boost to durability"

lol....about 30% less damage to shields that go down instantly big whoop.

"you WILL lose customers if your nerf it like you did to the Falcon"

The falcon was a great weapon until it was outclassed by the KY. the nerf was justified.

Haven't you made like a few threads suggesting changes to tactical cloak lately?

I think it needs some slight tweaking in order to preserve the variety in this game, currently a lot of players are sporting an infiltrator and a krysae in gold, at least from my experience on Xbox, but I don't want anything dramatic done to it.

The thing is this game is too easy on gold difficulty when playing with good players, and now most gold matches are a breeze even when playing with randoms because of the new options available. Before I at least had that option to make it a bit more challenging. Some will say "go solo then", but I really like this game for its emphasis on teamwork. Sadly that aspect is really lacking in many gold matches nowadays, when certain setups make players able to take care of entire enemy spawns alone.

What we really need is something resembling Gears of War 3 horde mode on insane in difficulty.

Yes, please leave it be. If it gets nerfed, then BE will be next, then tech bursts, then soldier class, then kroguard, on and on and on....

One that was what I want IF it's nerfed. I don't think it's OP at all.

I'm finding Gold to be harder nowadays with randoms. The Krysae made people think just because they can do good on Silver, they must be great at Gold! Right? Wrong. Just yesterday I had a guy who tried to revive ~15 times because he had his GPS charged. I had to gel and let him know. Also a KSo who went around meleeing on FBWCG even after the 7th round he died on.

That's part of it.  But the other part is that a lot of people that were pretty good aren't really active in this game anymore.

The thing is that before you revive the Krysae users that currently are flooding gold, they have probably wiped out four phantoms and a couple of engineers with their favorite toy. So even if they die a lot, and they do, they get a lot of  work done. I can pull my weight pretty well and have always had a pretty high success rate at gold PUG games, but since Rebellion it has come to the point that I always expect the team to go all the way and usually we do.

That's not what I want from the highest difficulty.

So what does the Soldier have?  You know - the pure combat class?

Grenades. Lots and lots of grenades.

No gimmicks, and just fast and easy damage output.

You say "no gimmicks" like it's a good thing.

They can hold the line. Now all we need is a Salarian Soldier with a Scorpion...

Correct, but they have frags and can hold one more. Plus sticky grenades radius is sad.

The fact that adrenaline rush doesn't  prevent their shields from recharging when they activate it.

Really, that is the one issue I haven't noticed anyone else mention yet. People talk about TC like it is a "get out of being shotgun blasted in the face" card as well as having huge damage bonuses, but since enemies tend to continue trying to shoot at the cloaked infiltrator that they can sometimes still see these days, that is simply untrue.

I have been grabbed by husks while I was cloaked because I was trying to revive teammates and the husks decided they could see through my cloak. I think that we are all getting lost in damage numbers, and not thinking about death risks.
