I find it odd that people continuously say Infiltrators have bad health and shields, while all of them have the same base and upgraded health as the same species classes and I'd rate cloak as a survivability tool. There's certainly squishier classes or equally squishy targets.

As for powers they get several good ones with a big buff from TC.

Recently I had the misfortune to come across a rather uninformed individual petitioning to make the DPS the same across the entire board and had the gall to compare the Sentinal which is a Utlitiy class to the Striker role of the Infiltrator.

Sentenals recieve the Crowd Control of the Adept and the debuffs of the Engineer. They are not spectacular at dealing large amounts of damage. In fact they're the weakest. To compensate they are given an ablity that allows them to laugh off damage while "slow burning" their enemies to death. (The Vorcha in a very literal sense.)

Every ability the Soldier has is meant to deal damage. He doesn't get any fancy toys like the Infiltrator and the Engineer, nor can he control the Crowds like the Adept and the Sentinals. He and his counterpart, the Vanguard, are damage dealers. Every ablitiy deals damage with no special effects. They're also very good at wiping larger groups off the map with minimal effort.

There's plenty of Variety in this game. We as the community are at fault for cracking the secrets of each class and posting "God Tier" builds in which makes the game "Easy". People will simply copy what they see here which means yes, you're going to see carbon copies of classes that make the game "Easy." Because we only post about the "Best" counter to the difficulty. We don't post variety because it's "Not Gold Viable" so therefore nobody is going to give it a second look.

In layman's terms, it's your own damn fault BSN for making the game too "Easy" by posting the builds, stratagies, and weapon combinations that get looked up by some desperate player tired of "Doing it the hard way."

Grow up.

And leave my TC alone. "Easy" is a state of mind.

I didn't see a Tactical Cloak nerf in the patchnotes, did you? Nope. :)

The thing is, there is a tiny but very vocal segment of gamers that HATE stealth classes, in any game. No matter if it's an MMO, PvP, Co-op or single player game. As soon as they see some feature like stealth, they'll yell "OMG! Overpowered! NREF!!!". And as always, there are plenty of idiots (and that's an understatement) who tack onto any complaint and just parrot it.

Truth is, Tactical Cloak is NOT overpowered. Situationally it may be the best mechanic available, but just as often it's completely useless. And yes, that applies to ALL games. Yes, you can just call out to them for being a stealth-hater, some of them will even admit they are, claiming stealth mechanics never worked in any game (I have even seen complaints about Stealth being OP in Thief 1 long ago.. The whole point of that game is to stealth!). You really CAN'T take those nerf-callers serious.

By the way, I rarely play on an infiltrator. I find my AA and HS both much more powerful and versatile. Even when I'm the only Biotic on the team, I find them much better.
And if there was an overpowered Infiltrator, it would be the Quarian. But that's only if the Quarian gets the chance to sabotage properly against Geth or Cerberus. Sadly, most squads are kinda clueless about sabotaging, and don't know how to work with it, rendering the ability pretty useless.

But I like when Britney turns invisible and runs across the map to revive our Vanguard. She contributes to the team while still managing to cavort about with a group of ethnically diverse male dancers, like any infiltrator worth his salt.

TC would be a survival tool if my shields regenerated when I used it. Alas, I tend to get shot in the face by what I was tryinv to survive these days because it guessed where I was hiding and shot me anyway.

Also, AR has the ability to loew damage intake and automatically recharge shields. The HSo can be used more effectively than the Infiltrator if you play it right.

You got all of that out of me proposing a minor tweak to tactical cloak because the game in my opinion would benefit from more classes being used? Impressive. Could have done better without the "grow up" part though. To me it looks like we have different opinions, that's not really that dramatic.

I wouldn't worry much OP. The odds of a TC overhaul are abysmally low when the non-forum going majority doesn't even think there is a problem with Infiltrators.

The BSNers experience is not the representative gaming experience. Remember that.

I always cut quote towers down to one quote. That's not me taking anything out of context- that's just me trimming on quote towers and having to scroll down pages of forums. But hey, whatever makes you feel good about me being right.

Damage to weapons and their other abilities, the ability to hide, revive team mates, get to objectives, and not be shot while you line up a shot, equal shields to the rest of the general public, and a very very severe boost to headshot damage and with snipers makes the infiltrator class able to do virtually anything better than any other class, even the classes that were specifically designed to do only one of these things. The only exception is that infiltrators can't use biotics.

I'm sorry, I really like infiltrators, Salarian and Quarian females being my favorites, but they just do far too much better than any other class.
