I don't really hate the original song exactly. It's just as the OP says: it's one of those songs that gets stuck in my head and repeats ad nauseum. Anything gets tedious when you can't stop hearing it. >.<

There have been a few songs over the years that have been annoying to my ears and memories. But one of the more disappointing ones was "Someone's Knocking At the Door" by Wings. The repeating lyrics added to the misery of that year for me.

OTOH; simply love the 007 theme "Live and Let Die".
