I'm sort of disheartened because I noticed a lot of skill based achievements can be "achieved" with the respec mod...soo what should I do?

Try the game on nightmare or hard?

i suggest you try roleplaying instead of "beating" the game on your next run because DAO is not one of those games to 'beat' but one to enjoy. if you can't enjoy this sort of game then you better look for some game where the gameplay is totally predefined for you like a first person shooter game or maybe an mmo where you can 'compete' against others in a virtual world.

Make a mod, or play a different game. Or do what they said

Try it in NM and I'd say try the respec mod too. The specializations it unlocks are prolly the same you've already unlocked in a regular run. Since you finished the game, at least you can make your chars more worthy of their classes. The two major evil specs, for warrior and mages, are not unlocked by it, as far as I can tell. And since you can redistribute all their attribute points, skill and talents, you could try all sort of focus and get a cool playthrough with same chars, different skills than before.

And if you truly enjoyed your char in your first run, why not take him to NM and also perfect him with better points distribution, different specialization or earlier specialization since first run hardly let us have the spec we want at level 7. At least for me. I only got it at 15. I immediately recreated the char, aborting the normal diff run and started a Hard diff one... was a lot of fun. And I have him now on a NM run, and a much better Hero than he was in the Hard one too!

After that, I might try different classes, although I kinda like him so much... I might consider resurrecting again for yet another run... in Nightmare Plus!

Just remember to save all screenies in a different folder name as replaying the same char with the same name will erase your pics... I learned that the hard way!

Replay the game, that's all I can say. I finished 4 times, did half of my fifth. Quite interesting trying everything possible.

You can play the game again..as almost everyone has done.

I'll keep playing it until Diablo III comes out or Darksiders comes out.

I wanted to play Assasins Creed II, but I'm still hooked on this one.

When I first thought of buying a game for November ..it was between WET, Aion, or DA.

Guess which one I chose? lol

I did the same, try all origins but didn't finis it and change gender and it left me only one way to finish the game... I have a lot of hours of playing... but I'm hook... I think that the only other game that will forget a little DA is Mass Effect... So, until then, I will play and play and try other dialogue... It's fun!!!

I also finish the game and I did like it a lot but I feel kind of lost now, I'm new to this kind of games, I also probably left a whole lot of missions I couldn't finish because I found it a bit hard to locate all of them, and now since I died killing the last dragon I can't do anything but playing the DLCs which I already did during the playthrough, any ideas? Also, why Morrigan is gone since now I would be playing in a previews time before the ending not that I have anything to do anyway, did I mess up somewhere or that's how it is? Is there a way to enter the DLC graywarden castle again since I already beat it, I think I might left a side mission unfinished there.

You can indeed still play the DLC as your character even though you sacrificed yourself. Reload the very last autosave on your character and you will be able to do the DLC. BTW, you can enter the area of Soldier's Peak, but you can't actually go back into the Keep itself.

I have finished the game again too but i would quite like to be able to wonder the place and accept my praise as the hero of ferelden =P and of course track down some of the remnants of the darkspawn horde and do battle.

But in lack of that i started new characters instead.

Nope, no wandering as your PC, just DLC. Except for new content, once you're done, you're done.

True but we can always resurrect the char and take him to a new level of challenge... I know I'm missing other origins and stuff, but I just love my guy and being able to replay it all with him and him being much better at his job now, is really gratifying for me.

aborted a normal run after 60 hours because the hero, well, was not very heroic... poorly created, messed up stats and skills and talents... I want to RP a hero and not a wimpy and sad excuse for a hero. But it's been a great learning experience!

1st full run, lots of spell and magic abuse in Hard diff... and very very hard time in some battles...

2nd run in NM, still on and after a certain point, a No Mages Party! It is a lot of fun with a much better version of the same char, which I can proudly call a Hero now and even expose him in some videos as I will not now feel ashamed!

Ohh Is there a way to Re-use your char in new games?

You know how you could use your old chars in BG2 and put them in new games.

Is it possible maybe with a mod or something?

I hope that above post makes some sense for those who do speak English as primary language... I'm totally lost here! Long sentences do that to me! <eg>

I think you can re-create your char if you have saved it when used the character creator. Just change the name or move your screenshots folder if you want to use the same name. Oh, and you'll have to start again from level 1. You cannot use a character that already finished the game to start a new game, afaik.

Oblivion is an horrible piece of thrash compared to Morrowind. I played Morrowind countless hours and just deleted Oblivion a few days after I got it. All the features I loved about the franchise were gone.

a/w if you bought DAO on consoles instead of PC you simply fail... Not only is the game on console a mere gimmick version of the real game but you're cut off fromt custom content so ummm sucks to be you =P

Actually, it is the lack of punctuation... try reading what you wrote... it may be normal if you don't care for the language, worse if it is your primary, but for me, it's like you're just "murdering the English"... sort of an idiom we have here... may lose a bit in the translation.

ah true, i for one enjoy the lack of punctuation, i tend to write like i would speak to ones friend or such. Forgive my "murdering the English" but atlas i don't care. But again thanks for answering my question never the less.It would of been sweet to start over with the same character as it was when u beat the game with it. Or at least to open end the game to go back and finish what it is you've missed. Again thanks.
