I'm sort of disheartened because I noticed a lot of skill based achievements can be "achieved" with the respec mod...soo what should I do?

Try it in NM and I'd say try the respec mod too. The specializations it unlocks are prolly the same you've already unlocked in a regular run. Since you finished the game, at least you can make your chars more worthy of their classes. The two major evil specs, for warrior and mages, are not unlocked by it, as far as I can tell. And since you can redistribute all their attribute points, skill and talents, you could try all sort of focus and get a cool playthrough with same chars, different skills than before.
And if you truly enjoyed your char in your first run, why not take him to NM and also perfect him with better points distribution, different specialization or earlier specialization since first run hardly let us have the spec we want at level 7. At least for me. I only got it at 15. I immediately recreated the char, aborting the normal diff run and started a Hard diff one... was a lot of fun. And I have him now on a NM run, and a much better Hero than he was in the Hard one too!
After that, I might try different classes, although I kinda like him so much... I might consider resurrecting again for yet another run... in Nightmare Plus!
Just remember to save all screenies in a different folder name as replaying the same char with the same name will erase your pics... I learned that the hard way!

I'll keep playing it until Diablo III comes out or Darksiders comes out.
I wanted to play Assasins Creed II, but I'm still hooked on this one.
When I first thought of buying a game for November ..it was between WET, Aion, or DA.
Guess which one I chose? lol

aborted a normal run after 60 hours because the hero, well, was not very heroic... poorly created, messed up stats and skills and talents... I want to RP a hero and not a wimpy and sad excuse for a hero. But it's been a great learning experience!
1st full run, lots of spell and magic abuse in Hard diff... and very very hard time in some battles...
2nd run in NM, still on and after a certain point, a No Mages Party! It is a lot of fun with a much better version of the same char, which I can proudly call a Hero now and even expose him in some videos as I will not now feel ashamed!

You know how you could use your old chars in BG2 and put them in new games.
Is it possible maybe with a mod or something?

I think you can re-create your char if you have saved it when used the character creator. Just change the name or move your screenshots folder if you want to use the same name. Oh, and you'll have to start again from level 1. You cannot use a character that already finished the game to start a new game, afaik.

Go back to playing Oblivion? I know I will
Oblivion is an horrible piece of thrash compared to Morrowind. I played Morrowind countless hours and just deleted Oblivion a few days after I got it. All the features I loved about the franchise were gone.
a/w if you bought DAO on consoles instead of PC you simply fail... Not only is the game on console a mere gimmick version of the real game but you're cut off fromt custom content so ummm sucks to be you =P
