"i reley dont wan to say this but i have to now"  ~axman13

I had a krysae III untill last night when I got it upgraded twice (how lucky is that)

but I was playing with my Krysae V last night and it was just bad. it would take 4 shots to kill a single (or cluster) of plain geth troopers on gold and usually double to tripple that to take out a pyro.

I just want to say I'm really glad it got de-buffed before I got to experience the sheer power of the weapon, think about how it would have effected my enjoyment of the game.

I can't wait to get my regar to level 5 and see how well balanced it has become. I can't wait to experience the ultra-high risk, low reward gameplay everyone else with the reegar X has been craving.

My Reegar X is no different to me. It's just 25% slower cooldowns.

Really a ~10% damage nerf made that much of a difference to you - amazing.

My Krysae X with SR AMP III feels a lot of the same to me. Just less overkill on some occations...

I never liked the Reegar, so i really am in no place to comment on that.

They shouldn't have nerfed the Krysae, they should have buffed other weapons. Nerfing just makes the game less fun. Anyone who cries for nerfs in a co-op only game is a masochistic retard.

Oh ho ho ho

Reported. There are some stupid anti nerfing post on this board but yours is just plain rude and offensive.

I couldn't tell any difference with the Reegar but I do use it on a non power dependent class.

You know it would b nice to open a post anout balance or nerfing or whatever without the pro nerf crew coming out and treating everyone like inferiors. Fine you like nerfs we get it. make your own freakin thread and leave the rest of us sane people alone. that being said I feel that the "BALANCE" mods done to the reegar and krsyae aren't that bad. those of us who would rather nothing be changed(some of us like to play games instead of whine like little school girls that everything is OP)and just enjoy the game for what it is can live with the change. Though there is one thing n the last "balance" patch that is a direct nerf due to the herders trying to nerf one one class and it sadly affecting another. Balance is good but when it precludes the use of a weapon/power/class its not balance its nerf. Sigh... it all just makes me sad. Just shut up and play the game or if you don't like the way it plays go play something else and leave the rest of us alone.

Funny, that's how I feel when I look in any Balancing thread and see a hundred posts from "anti-nerfers".

I'm sorry but every time I see one of your posts all I can hear is nerf nerf nerf. You'll have to repeat yourself.

Oh, is that what we're doing?

I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you either. I think some of your blatant hypocrisy got in my ear.

Heavy gun, but the prize...

Really though the you can't complian about the nerf if you haven't seen both sides, and the reegar is the exact same weapon, only now it's heavier.
That really makes for such a, dare I say it, heavy risk. Posted Image

Does anyone else wonder if nerfing is going to kill MP? Shouldn't these weapons be more powerful? Why should I grind for them if they aren't better? Leave 'em alone. I had Krysea II, wasn't o.p. at all. I don't know, I guess I just feel like I'm running out of reasons to play. Kinda sad. Anyone else?

Reegar wasn't really hit that hard.  Perhaps not as good on a caster class, but your Infiltrators and Soldiers won't mind at all.  Still lighter than a GPS or Graal.

Krysae nerf, on the other hand, might've killed the weapon.  It doesn't seem like the nerf was that significant (I haven't used the Krysae since the nerf) but it might be enough to keep people from using it, based on the fact that it got a nerf.

The krysae itself didnt need a nerf that bad. It was the Inf + krysae that needed a nerf.

The problem with the nerf: It nerfed all situations where it wasnt OP (non inf classes) and barely did anything to the situation where it was OP (inf).

My sentinel struggles a lot more now. More than 1 clip to take out a hunter.
My inf still laughs his way through gold with it.

If the reegar got nerfed (beyond weight) I havent noticed.

The Krysae is still very good, just slighly less riduclous.  It would help if they fixed the "dissipearing shots" thing however. I see this as a good change.

I think they went overboard with the Reegar as its now really to heavy for vanguards, which is kinda sad.  I used to occasially seek vanguards on gold with it, but don't really anymore.

It was  perfect fit for the Kroguard before, and that period was the only time I say them.

The Reegar wasn't really OP anyway, just insanely specialized. It's a spear. I think smash may have a longer range now.  Making it heavier doesn't really change anything for infiltrators, but it really screws vanguards.

Anyway, I think the Reegar weight increase was a bad change. It's not like you were seeing tons of vanguards running around gold anyway.

Disagree...Krysae X with no equipment on gold still works. Didn't even notice the damage reduction.

The Krysae is still absurdly overpowered.

We prefer not to nerf weapons or abilities, but some strategies just become too dominant which hurts replayability. We want to make as many strategies as possible viable on all difficulty levels so the game stays fresh. The vast majority of balance changes have been attempts to bring up weaker strategies so they can compete with the stronger ones.

For that reason I don't agree that nerfing in a co-op game is not necessary.

That makes too much sense. What am I susposed to rant about now.

Thank you for your insight, but could team Bioware please try to limit "nerfs" or just add a Platinum difficulty for additional challenge?

Used it on a HI. Doesn't kill cannibals in one shot any more but handles Cerberus/Geth troopers just fine.
