my opinion of the krysae and the reegar post de-buff

I had a krysae III untill last night when I got it upgraded twice (how lucky is that)
but I was playing with my Krysae V last night and it was just bad. it would take 4 shots to kill a single (or cluster) of plain geth troopers on gold and usually double to tripple that to take out a pyro.
I just want to say I'm really glad it got de-buffed before I got to experience the sheer power of the weapon, think about how it would have effected my enjoyment of the game.
I can't wait to get my regar to level 5 and see how well balanced it has become. I can't wait to experience the ultra-high risk, low reward gameplay everyone else with the reegar X has been craving.

They shouldn't have nerfed the Krysae, they should have buffed other weapons. Nerfing just makes the game less fun. Anyone who cries for nerfs in a co-op only game is a masochistic retard.
Oh ho ho ho
Reported. There are some stupid anti nerfing post on this board but yours is just plain rude and offensive.

You know it would b nice to open a post anout balance or nerfing or whatever without the pro nerf crew coming out and treating everyone like inferiors. Fine you like nerfs we get it. make your own freakin thread and leave the rest of us sane people alone.
Funny, that's how I feel when I look in any Balancing thread and see a hundred posts from "anti-nerfers".

I'm sorry but every time I see one of your posts all I can hear is nerf nerf nerf. You'll have to repeat yourself.

Oh, is that what we're doing?
I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you either. I think some of your blatant hypocrisy got in my ear.

Really though the you can't complian about the nerf if you haven't seen both sides, and the reegar is the exact same weapon, only now it's heavier.
That really makes for such a, dare I say it, heavy risk.

My Reegar X is no different to me. It's just 25% slower cooldowns.
Reegar wasn't really hit that hard. Perhaps not as good on a caster class, but your Infiltrators and Soldiers won't mind at all. Still lighter than a GPS or Graal.
Krysae nerf, on the other hand, might've killed the weapon. It doesn't seem like the nerf was that significant (I haven't used the Krysae since the nerf) but it might be enough to keep people from using it, based on the fact that it got a nerf.

The problem with the nerf: It nerfed all situations where it wasnt OP (non inf classes) and barely did anything to the situation where it was OP (inf).
My sentinel struggles a lot more now. More than 1 clip to take out a hunter.
My inf still laughs his way through gold with it.
If the reegar got nerfed (beyond weight) I havent noticed.

I think they went overboard with the Reegar as its now really to heavy for vanguards, which is kinda sad. I used to occasially seek vanguards on gold with it, but don't really anymore.
It was perfect fit for the Kroguard before, and that period was the only time I say them.
The Reegar wasn't really OP anyway, just insanely specialized. It's a spear. I think smash may have a longer range now. Making it heavier doesn't really change anything for infiltrators, but it really screws vanguards.
Anyway, I think the Reegar weight increase was a bad change. It's not like you were seeing tons of vanguards running around gold anyway.

We prefer not to nerf weapons or abilities, but some strategies just become too dominant which hurts replayability. We want to make as many strategies as possible viable on all difficulty levels so the game stays fresh. The vast majority of balance changes have been attempts to bring up weaker strategies so they can compete with the stronger ones.
That makes too much sense. What am I susposed to rant about now.

For that reason I don't agree that nerfing in a co-op game is not necessary.
Thank you for your insight, but could team Bioware please try to limit "nerfs" or just add a Platinum difficulty for additional challenge?

Disagree...Krysae X with no equipment on gold still works. Didn't even notice the damage reduction.
Used it on a HI. Doesn't kill cannibals in one shot any more but handles Cerberus/Geth troopers just fine.
