The weight also took the Reegar out of my Phoenix Vanguards hands, so I had to promote it to get a different build since I burned all of my respec cards to give SR's back to my Infiltrators when the Krysae was released.

Still owns if you take the passive rank 6 weight reduction

I know, but it really owned before when you had a +185 cooldown with it only or a +160 cooldown with it and the Carnifex X.

We prefer not to nerf weapons or abilities, but some strategies just become too dominant which hurts replayability. We want to make as many strategies as possible viable on all difficulty levels so the game stays fresh. The vast majority of balance changes have been attempts to bring up weaker strategies so they can compete with the stronger ones.

Eric Fagnan:
correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding of MP is that not all weapons are made for Gold Difficulty. Gold is for those who've taken the time and patience to achieve such the level. To be able to handle Gold-Level- Enemies. This would require the player:

1. Know what weapons work well and does not (this is key)
2. There's certain weapons that are simply made for Bronze and Silver Mode. While other weapons are made for Gold
3.Logically - this would bring balance.
  • Example: If I were to bring a Claymore or Wraith on a Bronze Map, this would be overpowering. It would be way to easy and not much skill and tactics would be required. This would defeat the purpose of MP. classes/Weapons = share balance (Look above at Point #1) and vice versa. I wouldn't bring a Predator Pistol to Gold at Lvl1 instead bring a Paladin or Canifex X
IMO this is how I see the MP. I think the game is well balanced and I would like it to be kept that way. Please don't listen to all the crybabies, because they will ruin it for the rest of us who actually enjoy MP the way it is. The way you guys have already balanced it.

Thanks to all who gave us MP.

Please more Batarians and K.R.O.G.A.N.S.  I like them.  and Arc Grenades are the coolest of all grenades IMO

Thank you for your insight, but could team Bioware please try to limit "nerfs" or just add a Platinum difficulty for additional challenge?

Then could they also add a lower difficulty so my Eagle I is worth using?

In my opinion, nerfing the overall damage of the Krysae isn't the right thing to do. It was only overpowered on infiltrators (not because tactical cloak is overpowered in general, but the fact that the Krysae got the bonus sniper damage from TC is ridiculous). They should give it back the 10% damage, to make it at least semi-viable on non-infiltrator classes, then make the Krysae not recieve the 40% bonus damage from tactical cloak. Problem solved.

For that reason I don't agree that nerfing in a co-op game is not necessary.

I think nerfing should be something wider than straight up encumbrance change or damage output decrease.

With Kysae, I really disagree with what you did, and I am very completitive player and love a challenge. The issue with that weapon was not it's moderate damage. The issue was player's inability to miss. You could literally play on a laptop with the sensor input and still be top on the team (I am not joking, I verified it myself, I have a good gaming laptop: MSI GT740, so it can run this game rather well). What you should have done is decreased projectile size to a size of a standard bullet and make is so that it doesn't explode unless it hits a target. In addition the infiltrator's cloack should have given it a smaller buff than to other weapons.

Nerfing the damage didn't make the rifle useless per se, but it is same very, VERY boring and skill-less weapon, just it's user is no longer a guaranteed top on the scoreboard.

Could've taken more time and effort for this, you know, wouldn't die like Sheppy.

Umm, yeah. The Reegar is still a monster.
