Give it a second go and see how everything starts crumbling...
Don't get me wrong, the game is good, but if you really compare it to the other two (i've just finished ME2 again past week and i'm trying to do another ME3 paythrough) you will see the difference.
There are parts of ME3 that are amazing (Tuchanka, Rannoch, we all know of them) but those aside, to me, the game feels much more shallow than the other two in terms of being your own Shepard, i'll stop talking now to avoid reaching the part where i talk about the ending...

No I don't. What do you refer to? "Right up until..." What exactly? The pointless and sad murder of Marauder Shields? I'm sure I'm not alone in jumping right to that image whenever someone intimates about some horrible aspect near the end of the game.
Nothing is more emotionally scarring than the cold blooded murder of Marauder Shields. NOTHING!

While time constrain did contribute to ME3's downfall, but ultimately what killed the experience for me was the abrupt direction of BioWare's vision. No amount of time can fix or compensate a poorly visualized idea. In other words, ME3 was doomed to fail if the proper vision wasn't implemented truly.CptBomBom00 wrote...
People argue that ME3 isn't as bad as others say, but on the other hand game it self is good<--- notice this its good not Epic or Legendary, its good, but its also flawed at the same time, so this got me thinking if we didn't got the game in march and Bw would've relased it in next year or even a year later, lets say 2014, would've this game been more detailed and deeper or would it become even worse???
But at the end of the day, we still got third instalment, and yet its flawed as I said, the ending of the game didn't live up to our expectations, but I admit there were moments in the game that I liked as fan, but that doesn't say that BW should continue this kind of thing, which is bizzare by the way, but that's just my opinion.

I played ME1, Pinnacle station, ME2 and all DLC and I just finished Mass Effect 3.
Wow .. what an experience. I bought it on release but avoided all internet conversation about it until i had time to play. Played thru it in about a week (over 50 hours game play time completing all side missions). Let me tell you it was the most amazing experience I have ever had with a series the writing the story everything was epic. ME3 i felt was the perfect balance between ME1 and Me2 as far as rpg and gameplay is concerned. The whole game all your decisions from previous Mass Effects where brought up. the story was absolutely completely and totally awesome.
Mass Effect 3 was emotionally exhausting for me without going into spoilers .. I Laughed ... I Cryed ... I got Angry .. I had Regrets .. It made me re-examine some of my own believes. I was emotionally exhausted. Thank you Thank you Than you.
My only regret is i cant play them all again for the very first time.
Please give us more in this universe.
Mass Effect = The greatest Video Game Series of ALL TIME !!!!
Partially agree. Mass Effect is certainly one of the greatest series of all time, but, imo, this amazing serie deserves a better ending to be perfect (no spoil).
However, thanks BW to provide us with the Extended Cut DLC, and I hope to be happy with this one.
I really hope...

Lets leave it with the simple fact that I played ME1 about 6-10 times, ME2 about the same, ME3 once and done. The collectors disc makes a good beermat though.

Good on you OP. While I'm not gushing about the game, I still love the series. It's not the best though. That goes to Mega Man.

Sparky, I respect your opinion, but ME3 seemed to have the best of both ME1 & 2, save the ending. The combat was polished, several missing RPG elements were back, the story arc was more engaging than ME2. With that said, I'm a big supporter of ME3, but I too am having the same replay problem. Not sure why.

And I can respect your's, I'm not one that says everyone must think it's bad. I wish I could feel the same way about the game. You're right the combat was improved and other things are better but it just feels hollow to me, the fetch, the Zaeed/Kasumi dialogue. It just doesn't engage me in the story like the others did.

I've got to give 9/10 to this series...
I've never been obsessed with a game that much in my life!?!
- Multiplayer kicks ass!!!
- The story has got to be the most complex one out there at this time!
- So many different emotions lived through single player...
If not for the ending which, according to me lacked depth and let us with a depressing feeling, I would have given this series 11/10!!!
Keep up the good work and, overall, congrats!!

Chris, I understand the desire to quell the negative self appointed trolls and flamers, however, if you really feel the way your post reads, perhaps you should make a "Positive feedback" forum, and a "Negative feedback" forum.
I was under the impression you wanted feedback, negative and positive, and you are certainly mature enough to understand that kids are going to throw rocks on the interwebs. I thought you had thicker skin.
Perhaps I was wrong.

I actually think that ME3 is the best MP game that I have ever played! Every single MP game that I have played before, I either didn't really like or got bored very quickly. ME3 is the only MP game that I have poured countless hours into.jreezy wrote...

Not to mention that nobody learns how to improve from listening to "yesmen".
Quite a few projects of varying scale have ended up as giant facepalms when viewed at historically precisely because only people that said what 'those in charge' wanted to hear were the ones to say anything.
Chris, if you want to live in an alabaster tower, that's fine. Just don't go preaching that you are "listening" if you turn a deaf ear to anything uttered that you don't like or actively try coerce people into being silent about the shortcommings people can perceive there as being with the product. Cause doing so makes you come of as being dishonest.
You can't both be 'listening' and tell people to shut up at the same time just because what they say aren't all rainbow and sunshines for you. <_<

Come on guys... The ME serie is the best so far.
Baldur's gate series is better...
See how that works? But as for your other point, it's a good one but I have to disagree to some level. Mass Effect was living up to everything I hoped it to be until Priority Earth. Others say Rannoch and others even say Tuchanka. But all we know is that somehwere along the end of that game the awesome gradient started to slip.
My reasons for Priority Earth being the root of ME3's problem are this: the entire series was building up to that point. All our grinding, all our quests, all our choices were supposed to justified in that last final battle...but it failed to deliver, and that's why that whole mission nigh destroyed the ME series.

Though I have to agree that all three games had their weaknesses. Many weaknesses.

Sure you can, difference between what you want to say and how you say it. If everyone said what they wanted in reasonable way there would be far less of the latter. Though thats kind of a pipe dream for a portion of this fanbase who respond in such a way that they lack emotional self control when their feelings are hurt in a game.
I think it's always best to post positive and negative not just the negative but so many are stuck on not seeing the forest past the tree's. With the aspect of threads content I think it is reasonable to respect the thread creators tone sets for thread meaning if wants a positive thread about a game then allow him or her to have such and if want to be negative then everyone has the ability to make one of their own so instead and post in that.
Also Bioware do not have to read every single post from every single person in order to justify saying they are listening and they do have the right as far as I am concerned to tell people when they gone too far which have no respect for intention of the thread creator. In this sea of constant negativity coming off gamers on most forums at the moment, having threads that are positive is a breath of fresh air and they should not be attacked or hijacked by those consumed by negativity.

It was a decent game, I liked it a lot but I also see the obvious flaws and the ending was... well you know.. an abomination. The point is, people making such obvious ''GREATEST GAME EVUR THANK YOU BW'' bs threads are obvious trolls trying to bait the anti ending crowd.
No, the anti ending crowd is actually at fault. This is a forum to talk about Bioware games. If the OP wants to express his love for the series, why the hell should he/she not do it here? It's not baiting anything, you and the rest of the "anti-enders" just want to hate everything and think any disagreement to your opinion doesn't belong for some pathetic reason. You guys make me sick with your elitism.
