Come on guys... The ME serie is the best so far.

MGS is better. I think Mass Effect tried to be too ambitious and just ended up not living up to expectations.

Baldur's gate series is better...

See how that works? But as for your other point, it's a good one but I have to disagree to some level. Mass Effect was living up to everything I hoped it to be until Priority Earth. Others say Rannoch and others even say Tuchanka. But all we know is that somehwere along the end of that game the awesome gradient started to slip.

My reasons for Priority Earth being the root of ME3's problem are this: the entire series was building up to that point. All our grinding, all our quests, all our choices were supposed to justified in that last final battle...but it failed to deliver, and that's why that whole mission nigh destroyed the ME series.

Good points. I think Mass Effect 2's greatest aspect (characters) might be one of Mass Effect 3's big problems as well. The introduction of so many new faces seemed more likely than not to end badly. BioWare not offering satisfying character conclusions for a lot of the characters in ME3 hurts the overall experience in my opinion.

I played ME1, Pinnacle station, ME2 and all DLC and I just finished Mass Effect 3.

Wow .. what an experience. I bought it on release but avoided all internet conversation about it until i had time to play. Played thru it in about a week (over 50 hours game play time completing all side missions). Let me tell you it was the most amazing experience I have ever had with a series the writing the story everything was epic. ME3 i felt was the perfect balance between ME1 and Me2 as far as rpg and gameplay is concerned. The whole game all your decisions from previous Mass Effects where brought up. the story was absolutely completely and totally awesome.

Mass Effect 3 was emotionally exhausting for me without going into spoilers .. I Laughed ... I Cryed ... I got Angry .. I had Regrets .. It made me re-examine some of my own believes. I was emotionally exhausted. Thank you Thank you Than you.

My only regret is i cant play them all again for the very first time.

Please give us more in this universe.

I completely agree with you,the Mass Effect trilogy is the best ever made.

And ME3 is probably the most emotional game that i ever played,so much memorable moments.I cried a lot(and i dont easily cry).

Wait whats wrong with liking Me3 ? I mean the ending is complete bull and the auto-dialogue is stupid, but overall I thought it was a decent game.

It was a decent game, I liked it a lot but I also see the obvious flaws and the ending was... well you know.. an abomination. The point is, people making such obvious ''GREATEST GAME EVUR THANK YOU BW'' bs threads are obvious trolls trying to bait the anti ending crowd.

No, the anti ending crowd is actually at fault. This is a forum to talk about Bioware games. If the OP wants to express his love for the series, why the hell should he/she not do it here? It's not baiting anything, you and the rest of the "anti-enders" just want to hate everything and think any disagreement to your opinion doesn't belong for some pathetic reason. You guys make me sick with your elitism.

To a point I agree, noone is forcing them to ake part in threads which clearly are opposite views to their own. OP has right to say like's Bioware's game to any degree he or she feels; without feeling like doing so will lead to being insulted. Plus people should be smarter than fish in first place, even if someone creates something the person feels like bait, don't jump on hook just so can whine about being caught in first place and just let moderators and devs handle what they feel falls into this catagory.

Absolutely - my wife has found it difficult to play any other RPG because it's "not Mass Effect".  She tried to get into The Witcher 2, but gave up after a couple of days.  Now she's about a third of the way through ME1, this time going down the Renegade route...

As a sidenote, this was the first RPG I played, and it was my wife that introduced me to it (although she had a substantial headstart on me, as she played it on the XBOX360 and I had it on the PC).

Whenever I think about my top 10 games, I don't really consider ME1/2/3 as seperate entries. Ultimately they're one story, one saga, so I consider them one entry. Same thing goes for FEAR, Supreme Commander, and Sins of a Solar Empire.

prefer these thank you threads to the hate ones, nice not seeing someone hate something just to hate it and lack any real opinion on their own. hate gets old   it's like yay another person craving attention, OmG who the hell cares

It is the best series I have ever played. I sorta hate ME3 as it is right now for a multitude of reasons, but I can't ever turn my back on the universe. So good

Let's see if you poeple understand, most people who are tired of the haters is because some of them just constantly need to express their anger with pointless, not constructive and annoying insulting rants...or with what they believe are "witty" comments which end up being pathetic, just as a pro ender can do the same pathetic move,

my view is that these comments usually come from the hate ME3 crowd rahter than the other which by the way probably don't even post in order to avoid being called sheep, like one little boy in this thread clearly stated, it's people like this "CHILD" who give these people a bad name.

And BSN is full of them, but as i've stated before, I liked the game, didn't have big issues with the ending and am looking forward to the EC dlc and I couldn't care less if you hated it, I mean I'm not gonna force you to change, you hate it?Ok, just don't tell me I have to as well.

Glad you enjoyed it.

The Mass Effect series are the best games I've played in the 26 years that I'm gaming.
I'm going to start the whole series all over again, need something to do until CE comes out :)

And I'm hopefull that it will fix everything, we're up for a big surprise I tell you.

I have enjoyed ther entire series and that includes the ending. Things could have been tied up a little neater, I supppose, but I wasn't disappointed.

When ME first came out, I actually ignored it for a long time, not being a fan of shooters (D&D style is my preference) that and we don't have consoles. Even when the PC version was added later, I still didn't bother to try it.

I finally did try it when ME 2 was offered free to DA II owners. I played it through a few times and payed more attention to the ME forums, I fell in love tith the game and played through several times with different characters, classess, romantic interests, etc.

Finally, I gave in and purchased ME 1. Immediately after finishing my first run through the game, I started new characters and played them through, and then continued those characters through ME 2, It was like playing ME 2 for the first time all over again.

I had no qualms about pre-ordering ME 3 and even took a couple of days off work when the game was released.

So far, I have completed ME 3 three times with characters that started in ME, and have loved all of them. I am now playing through with two of my male characters (though I orefer to stick with my own gender) as well as a couple more of my femSheps.

As a series, Mass Effect is the best, IMHO, and this from someone who doesn't really care much for shooters.

Thats saying alot about how good the ME story is.

I bought ME1&2 just before the ME3 came out. I dont care for RPG's and it didnt grab my attention as I stuck to games like halo and GOW for some reason. Someone recommended it to me so thought id give it a shot and was IMMEDIATELY hooked after the first scene, with all the talk about a "spectre beng on board" lol

then it just kept getting better and better

Never played through a game more than once before ME came along, there are enough decisions in ME to keep me going with the series for a long while yet. More would of been better but im sure there are limitations we are not aware of.

Yes....it certainly was one of those rare game experiences/series I enjoyed. From ME1 to ME3, I enjoyed it all - despite its controversial ending (- rather, the disappointing direction it went). I'm hopefully the EC will 'restore' some semblance, but hopefully additional SP DLC will help me more.

Yeah.  FEAR.  Great series (I'm playing FEAR 3 now).  Don't forget the Half-Life series.  Episode 3 comes out later this year!

Even though I was rather upset about the ending I still enjoyed ME3 quite a lot (both SP and MP), though ME1 has the best story I prefer ME3's story over ME2's because tbh you spent pretty much 95% of the game fighting mercs rather than collecters, but still all three games were good in their own way

Although it had a forced one-way ending in ME3, its almost my favourite series of all time.

Just adding more(different) endings to choose from would make it my favourite. =P
