When I was 10, my husband was born. Wow, that just sounds awful, doesn't it?

Aye. Sort of ironically enough the guy who I kept getting into fights with became my best friend a short time after we both started at the same high school a year or so later. (well he was a year older than me so he was a grade higher, getting into high school first but whatevs) Few more years after that I became a prefect. Crazy stuff.

Didn't think then that I would be where I am now. I thought that I would be a big time race car driver or a Jet Fighter pilot. But here I am 34 happily married with three children with one more on the way and pretty happy with my job.
Somehow, a 34 years old Jedi Ninja happily married, with a nice job and three children seem perfectly logical.

Everything was easy then...I remember doing a lot of things, but I most distinctly remember just being...happy.
I guess that is the most wonderful thing - to be able to have a childhood. Way too many never get that opportunity.
I remember wanting to marry our PE teacher. Every girl in our school wanted to,lol. I no longer want to get married, hehe.Calling the other person hubby if absolutely necessary is enough. Oh,how we change.
And I recall wanting to have a huge cheese wheel all to myself . So far,the only cheese wheels I got were from DA,but next Xmas I will get myself a real one.
I consider myself very lucky - it is odd,but strangely exhilarating, having lived through historical moments - when I was 10 years old,the Berlin Wall came crashing down, and compulsory Russian classes in primary schools were replaced by English / German. The first classes were a laugh, because there were simply not enough qualified teachers, not to mention native speaking ones.
Oh Maker,do I feel ancient,lol.

I want to eat a whole wheel of Stilton all by myself. I'm not sure it's possible, and I might feel slightly ill afterwards.Begemotka wrote...

One of the most memorable moments was discovering an ant queen's nest underneath broken concrete in my neighbor's yard. It was simultaneously the most fascinating and disgusting sight I had ever seen. I still remember how freaked out the smaller ants were when I revealed them all. They were scurrying away in a panic; carrying off unhatched eggs with them into the earth.
I carefully replaced the concrete and left them alone. When I checked again days later, the queen and smaller ants were gone. It was as if they were never there.

I spent a good chunk of that year playing Mario 64, raising a Tomagotchi, hitting the repeat button on the Backstreet Boys CD and collecting pogs!

This reminds me that when I was ten, I was the first kid in my school with some kid of old MP3 layer. Half the school used it during the first month after my birthday, then it disappeared until some years ago.
I found it again hidden in a old wardrobe and it was full of silly songs I used to listen to when I was a kid... it was almost traumatic.

I remember Christina Aguiler was my dream girl, so I probably listened to some of her music. Shaggy as well, I think lots of Blink 182 and Sum 41 too. I remember NOW 4 was awesome to me. Had the I'm Blue song on it as well as Drops of Jupiter and All The Small Things IIRC.
It was a pretty boring year for me. I moved states when I was 11 though and 9/11 happened as well.
