I think Majora's Mask was intended to be a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time, but they all worked as stan alone games without really referencing the other games in it's lore. Either way, a remake of Majora's Mask would definitely be the best way to go. Dem masks!

I tend to tune out when people talk about the Zelda continuity.

Nintendo released the continuity (filled with predictable inconsistencies and a nonsensical third split timeline that came completely out of the left field) not too long ago and Twilight Princess, for example, is more of a sequel to MM than anything else because it takes place further up the same timeline. Granted nothing is directly referenced and a few locations are off especially with the Master Sword and Temple of Time being mysteriously relocated again.Rockworm503 wrote...

Metroid has had a known timeline for ages. In fact Nintendo outright states where each installment exists in the timeline before it releases.Rockworm503 wrote...
