Is there a tutorial somewhere or could someone explain to me how to make nice looking waterfalls much like the ones you see in Redcliffe?

Thanks

There are some moving and sloping water models in the Hero folder (hro hrt) that can serve as waterfalls of a preset shape - and they have some interesting shapes.

There are also the promising "models" in the Water model folder. There's a waterfall down (which looks like a puddle) and waterfall up (which looks like the top of the waterfall). There's also an invisible water starter object. I've been fiddling around with those, but haven't had any success. I suspect there's some way to tell the top model to flow to the bottom model, and it may have something to do with the "water starter." Let me know if you have more success than I do, or maybe someone can point us to the next step.

I saw those, but likewise couldn't figure out how they're supposed to work.

I didn't see the ones in the hro ones. I'll take a look again when I get home.

By the way, in the fxe folder, there is a waterfall effect that goes with one of the hero flowing water meshes to add foam, so there are things we can use to "make do".  Still perplexed by the waterfall up and down objects, though.

EDIT: lots of waterfall effects in the fxe folder under "water."  Several heights.

Wow. I wonder why I couldn't find those before. Absolutely perfect, just what I was looking for. A couple of those in the fxe/water folder are just what I needed. Thanks for pointing those out.

Edit: I see why. Previously I had searched for "waterfall" in the toolset models. They never came up because their names start with "water_fall". Figures. :P
