No, i'm not trolling nor am i trying to be an ass. The story is hopeless from the get go, dialogue was scaled back to the point where the dialogue wheel should have been omitted altogether, the Renagade/Paragon styles were made utterly irrelevant, vehicle sections are gone, mini-games for opening boxes and doors n'stuff are no where to be seen, only one hub world whose colour pallet gives me headaches and i'm struggling to differentiate the basic combat from every other 3rd person cover shooter out there.
The other thing i actually enjoy in this game is the MP, just because i can play as a Turian. As for the rest, ME2 is vastly superior in every form, except perhaps the visuals but thats just rivet counting.
If ME3 had turned out to be a re-skinned ME2, i would not have been unhappy. The combat, the dialogue, the game environment, the weapons, none of that actually needed such drastic changes, just some tidying around the edges and it would have been fine.

It's a 7.5/10 for me. Even without the weaksauce ending, it's the weakest entry in the trilogy for me, and i'll quickly list off my reasons:
1. Bad journal system
2. Auto Dialogue
3. Side quests reduced to boring eavesdropping scanning quests
4. Romance scenes for most characters are pitiful
5. Final mission is rushed and anticlimatic
6. Intro is rushed and sloppy
7. No exploration
8. No boss fight
9. A lot of choices didn't amount to anything
10. Too much emphasis on MP
11. Vent kid
12. Day 1 DLC
This is why I got a bit of a problem when people say the first 99% of the game is perfect.
This. I would give it around a 7/10 overall, even without the ending. It was a good game the first time through, but after thining about it for a while and playing it a second time, just becaue it was so underwhelming compared to ME2 I might give it a 6/10.

Gameplay: 6/10. Sides questions and scanning knocked it down. Minor bugs here and there. Didn't really bring anything new.
With Ending: 3/10. In truth, it was going to be 1/10 but I decided to give you a point for each horrible ending choice. You can colour each with your favourite colour (limited to red, green or blue)

Yeah same for me.The only games that deserves a 10/10 IMO are MGS4,Zelda Ocarina of Time,ME2 and ME3.
ME1: 9,5
ME2: 10
ME3: 10
Best trilogy ever made indeed.

For first timers i'd give it an 8.
I agree with the poster above. This is by far the best trilogy i've ever played.

It had superb voice-acting, the combat felt fluid (even on MP), and the cinematography, combined with the amazing score and (usually) great writing, made it an unforgettable experience. The "lazy" graphics didn't really bother me, as I'd rather have those resources put into the story anyway.
However, the game is bogged down by the relative lack of choices, horrible journal system, occasional plot holes, and limited sidequests.

The one thing that actually pi**ed me off other then the endings, was the freaking journal/active mission or rather lack there of.
-also forgot auto dialogue and no exploration.
