There were these remote mines in Time Splitters 2 where you can throw them onto your co-op friend and make him/her run towards a group of enemies and blow it up without hurting your teamate. I will take these in lue of a new gun please.

I never found that, but there was another weapon i loved:
There was some prototype (i think in that robot warehouse that you have to infiltrate for one of the brotherhood quests). It's basically a lazer rifle which fires green lazers but does plasma damage and uses 2 cells. It was epic...  Used that untill i found that plasma rifle prototype which uses 1 cell at slightly less damage.

Oh right... and then i found the gauss rifle which one hit kills deathclaws...

Blades of Chaos from God of War....though smash ability is close.
Bow of Apollo from same game. Seriously though some type of Sci-Fi Bow would be kind of cool.
Auger from Resistance, though a Javelin with Tactical Scan comes close.
Line Gun from Dead Space.
The dagger from Prince of Persia.
The Infinity Gauntlet....? Not sure if that made it into any of the Marvel games.

Thirded, then at least the 2 barrel aesthetic that bioware sticks to religiously would make sense.

Just thought of one I've noticed similar posts for, but this is the classic that put it on the map: Doom's chain saw! Seems other games had a version of this, but I want a good old fashioned 2-handed saw meant to go through a brute's skull or phantom or whatever it hits...perhaps it could have the same type of blades as in ME3, but on a rip roaring happy chain saw from the days of the 20th century.

Fusion Mortar from Tribes 2

Link gun (or something similar) from Unreal Tournament. Perfect weapon for co-op gameplay.
Also, the Shock rifle was quite good fun - lots of biotic-ish explosions (and you could chain them I think).
(And, if we ignore the rules for a minute (!) the Leviathan from UT. Park up, deploy, and proceed to wreak havoc).
