How many different classes do you play?

All these petition threads about Tac Cloak, make me realize just how much I don't care about any one player class being more OP than the other. (I only care about specific weapons like the Reegar or Kryssa being OP, but that's a different matter and I don't even encounter those that much.)

It must have something to do with the fact that I play a grand total of 26 different classes and I've begun to wonder if the rest of the community does the same:

Poll! http://social.biowar...21/polls/35313/

If I find myself in a team full of Krogan or shotgun wielding batarians, I pick a sniper infiltrator to give the team
some Long Range cover. Team full of slow tanks? An Quarian SMG infiltrator for ambulance service or capping nodes. Lack of Tech against the Geth? My engineer will flash fry the area with bursts. Everyone armed with a Rifle? Time for my soldier to give you lot some supressive cryo/disruptor fire so you can line the perfect shot.

Frankly, I don't care if your stealthy butt is at the top of the scoreboards. The moment I freeze that group of phantom that were about to insta-stab you with my stasis bubble, I own your ass and all the score you make for the rest of
the round. (Or so I gloat behind my monitor.)

How's about you?

So, a quick couple of question out to everyone:

Do you feel there is enough of a spread of different classes to satisfy a variety of play styles?

Do you feel that any one particular strategy or play style outshines the others?

We try to keep in mind this is about team play with a well-rounded team, of course.

Cheers!

Thanks for all the terrific feedback / responses so far.

I do apologize to the OP for practically hijacking the thread.  The original question is an excellent one and it is one that comes up at team meetings often.

Personally, I play soldiers and engineers a lot.  That is stricly a preference however as I do enjoy playing other classes especially during our in-house play sessions (mostly to work out kinks in my own strategies).

Rarely will I brave the big world with my deplorable infiltrator skills (you folks have impressed me with yours). Image IPB

And Vanguard?  I'm more often a bug on a windhield when I use charge Image IPB.

My Krogan Sentinel feels pretty solid when I melee.

I'm far too A.D.D. as an Adept and easily get distracted by the pretty lights (and die by phantom, hunter, or whatever gets behind me).

Cheers!
