I am positive there are plenty of awesome ppl on bsn! :D

That's actually the reason I stick around. I have some very good friends here.

If only more people were open about things like that.

Hell, even I'm not very happy with Bioware's direction, but I stick around for the friends I've made here and the Off Topic section.

That and the hope that Bioware's games will be as good as they used to be.

It's actually ironic how the My Little Pony topic is about the most positive topic around here... Bronies FTW.

I honestly do believe that thread is what every thread should be in the BSN.

Filled with people having a wonderful time, no hate, no anger, no rage, no arguments, and if anything is done that resembles negativity, its all in good fun.

Minus the occasional hater that drops in to try and spoil the fun.

I think both that thread and this thread are steps forward in making a more positive BSN. Let's keep up the positivity folks!

@LPPrince: I just really think that it's mainly because of people being upset over Bioware's current direction in the production of their games. First they made the 'old' fans clash with newer ones, and now almost everyone is divided in their opinion. It's actually not surprising there's so much hate circulating on the forums.

That's the crux of it, I think. DAO: Awakening did a lot to kill the forum's positivity, then came DA2, then came ME3, add that to all the little things Bioware's done or not done and look at it now.

But we can try to keep it as positive as possible until Bioware goes back to what had all of us on the same page(generally).

@LPPrince: I admire your goodwill, but I'm sorry to say that the 'old' Bioware is finished. ME 3 was for many the last straw. :/

Oh sure, the old Bioware is never coming back.

Isn't gonna stop me from hoping they can recapture that magic somehow.

Perhaps then the forums can recapture their magic too.

Yeah not sure I believe that, they always say that it was the last straw but I have a feeling they will be back in force come DA3 complaining about how horrible it is as well (though with the Dragon Age series their complaints may actually have some validity since the Dragon Age series is rubbish). In all honesty ME3 was a fairly enjoyable game and it certainly wasnt a huge departure from the quality of ME2 and it was certainly far better than the first installment of the series. I think it less about the quality of the games and more that some people still have a stick up their arse about Bioware joining EA and will try to make out that any game released under the partnership is so horrible that it proves that EA are ruining Bioware, skewing evidence to support their own twisted agendas.

But that being said I gotta admit these forums are much more interesting when the fans are spewing hate, more fun to watch.

In my experience its unavoidable and some people are hell bent on ruining it for others. I sure didn't come here to bicker or cause drama but I end up in it anyway. Sometimes I find it amusing and sometimes it really pisses me off but for my part I'm probably bipolar. Sometimes I don't even know why I bother because ADD kicks in and it doesn't even matter because this is just distracting me from something else I was doing or visa versa.
But hey far better to cause a little drama on forums where I can't do any real harm then to yell at someone for no reason (seriously I have that problem).

Random acts of kindness brightens anyone's day. As for the forum drama, it's what makes the place

Then this forum needs more random acts of kindness.

One that instantly comes to mind is Arcadian Legend uploading avvies for me out of the blue when I didn't even ask for them.

That was absolutely amazing, and I loved it. Things like that are what build friendships, or make them stronger.

The forum needs more people like Arc. I just hope some forumites can say good things about me, as I do not under any circumstances want to leave a bad memory with someone here.

I'll have to bow out then. I made a promise to a now deceased friend of mine on her deathbed that I'd never get drunk in my life.

Alright, maybe I won't bow out. So perhaps I'll have a beer. ONE. A Guinness Extra Cold. Or warm if I have to make a trip to Europe.

Okay, you don't have to get drunk. You can still eat, drink and be merry, right? Maybe you could act drunk? (you know, slur your words, walk unsteadily, and make profound statements about the most obvious things. Oh, and then announce that you love the person you made the profound statement too . . .a true "I love you, man!!!" moment).

and btw, props for that promise, and more so for sticking to it.
