The worlds always been a cynical and angry place, you just got to deal with it in your own way. Too many differing opinions and personalities clash, which cause conflicts. Confess-A-Bear made an interesting metaphor about it. Also on the internet people don't have to put on airs and lie to one another. So you'll find a lot of brutal honesty on the internet that wouldn't occur in RL.

So it might seem that people are being negative when really it's just that the internet and other forms of lightning fast media, has changed our perception of the world because we can get everything real time now and people can post their comments and opinions without social obligation reprisal. They have that comfortable anonymity mask they can hide behind without fear of reprisal or punishment.

You'll also see a lot more hyperbole on the internet then you normally would in person which amplifies that perceived negativity. That's my .02.

But yeah when said in the right circumstances it sounds overly dramatic and amazing. Another fave word of mine is Shenanigans. People should use that word more often.

Just expect all life to be crap, then you'll be pleasantly suprised all the time that it isn't so. Optimism at it's finest. Traditional optimists who expect things to be bright and sunny all day long are destined for more disappointment.

Then by all means, post or say whatever makes you feel good. Don't let us steal all the positivity.  Even if what you post gets others in a mood, they can post whatever they think makes them feel positive too. Positivity all around!
