I don't have any ideas, but I definitely want Arcane Warrior and Ranger back.

I'd rather monk be under either warrior or rogue but similarly would want them to enter the DAverse, dwarves have the silent sisters which whilst unfortunately gender and race restrictive gives precedence for hand to hand.

Spellsword is always good and I'd like to see the arcane warrior come back more as a spellsword in that case rather than the juggernaut it was.

I also want Arcane Warrior and Ranger back. I really loved having an animal companion fight by my side. The Force Mage specialization was really great for crowd control in DA:II.

I really enjoyed all three Rogue specializations in DA:II, and of course Blood Mage and Spirit Healer seem absolutely necessary.

One new specialization I would like to see is a Dreamer Mage Specialization. We heard about them briefly in Origins and got to learn more about them in DA:II. Perhaps if Feynriel is a companion option in in DA:III that could be our first introduction to the specialization. They are said to be amongst the most powerful mages and I imagine their special talents would be similar to a more powerful entropic talent tree with maybe a specific talent for mind domination (similar to a blood mage's blood slave talent).

Assuming all DA2 specializations will remain.

Mage

Arcane Warrior

Keeper

*NEW* Summoner: Summons demons and spirits to destroy their foes.

Rogue

Bard

Ranger

*New* Witch-hunter: Basically a Templar-like specialization for Rogues.

Warrior

Spirit-Warrior

*New* Juggernaut: Warriors need a specialization that focuses exclusively on personal protection and invincibility.

*New* Weapon-Master: A damage heavy specialization that provides a clear alternative to Berserker and Reaver by emphasizing dedication to mastery of martial talents rather than fury or macabre powers.

Shapeshifter to remain in game but with more creatures can become. Other than that I do not mind and am happy to have what had in both games ideally.

Berserker pretty much handles that.

It's not really a specialization, more of a skill tree but I REALLY enjoyed Force Mage, it was a lot of fun. I do like Arcane Warrior.

As far as fighter ones go, I'd love to see something akin to Fenris's special skill tree. I always have him in my party because I love those abilities. I don't expect them to copy it precisely given that his were due to a pretty unique ritual, but I'd really like to have something based on that.

This doesn't really need a specialization since a blood magic ability does the trick. In order to summon Demons, you have to be a blood mage.

So really.... all you should ask for is just an ability to do that, rather then an entire tree devoted to it.

It could even be a randomized demon! Maybe sometimes it'll be a weak Rage Demon, while other times it'll be a Pride Demon!

But if you let your constitution/mana get too low, that Pride Demon might just turn into an extra enemy.

Rogue

*New* Witch-hunter: Basically a Templar-like specialization for Rogues.

Considering DAII showed us that there were Templar Rogues, I definitely expect a variant available for Rogues since Alistair said it was a "Warrior only" skillset-- at least the one he was taught.

The Spirit tree is basically the Mage variant already -- or DAO's was. Not sure if DAII had the Spirit tree.

I think first and foremost, I kinda want the old weapon system back.
Everyone should be able to equip any weapon if they meet the stats requirements; meanwhile, warriors should also have the dual-wield tree and archery tree.

I remember a dev (John Epler, I think, I may be wrong) said that one of DA II's early specializations was Archmage. The abilities would change depending of the element of the staff you had in hands. It sounds pretty cool, and I wouldn't mind hearing more about it.

I would like a Necromancer type mage spec, that can raise defeted enemies and weaken foes ect.

And a warrior who can take on abilities of different animals, not turn into them but have sustained modes that give different properties.

A werewolf only form that you can spec for attack, defence or balanced similar to how Shale was in DAO.

Ranger, but better than it was in Origins. Better powers, like something that can allow the tracking of enemies and the knowledge of their location and numbers. Better animal companions... I'm just gonna say it, giant spiders are gross! So something like a dragonling or small wyvern would be cool. Also the ability to charm animals would be great as well. Maybe through the use of bait or meat or some sort of treat.

Ranger.

Better yet, make Ranger a base class, and have subsets/specializations of them, as there can be many types of rangers.

Dual Wielding Rangers
Bow Specialist Rangers
Sword and Board Rangers
Deep Road Rangers
Wilderness Rangers
Arcane Rangers

But most importantly, bring back the Ranger.

Arcane Warrior making a comeback would be nice.

I'd also like to see Arcane Rogue.

No I think a summoner would be better. Blood mage needs blood magic more defined first.

DA2 had a spirit tree, but it sucked.

Necromancer, with a ability to kill npc´s out right and then raise them to do your bidding. For example, you need someone to fetch you something. The npc declines, you kill him with power word and then raise him. Then go together to pic that item you wanted in the first place (since the dead npc can still speak).

You know what'd be cool? Specialized Specializations. You get 2 specialization points but in my opinion you don't really feel SPECIALIZED when you have TWO of them that have nothing to do with each other.

So, I'd like for each specialization to have a primary tree and a secondary tree, so you can, say, choose to pick up Blood Mage I and Blood Mage II, or maybe be a little more rounded and get Arcane Warrior 1 and Spirit Healer 1. Then have each secondary tree have a really iconic Big Whammy of some kind.

Oh, and the benefits that you get for taking the specialization at all should only be on the first tree.

Addendum:  they could even use this beneficially with the Special Tree thing for companions: give each companion 1 Special Tree and 1 specialization point, so you can customize them a bit more BUT they also have their own particular Thing.

Here's another idea: what about if they let you lock out entire trees of abilities in order to get certain bonuses? This meaning, you'd basically choose to make it impossible for you to ever take any abilities in that tree. This'd be cool, I think, not just because your sword-and-board warrior could lock out all the two-handed abilities and, say, get +10 endurance, but because you could get some really interesting results by locking out, say, the Vanguard bonuses or the Defender tree.

Just a thought, but more customization options that wouldn't require huge tons of new work/development might be fun. :D

Mage:

Battlemage - Close combat focused Mage with short range AOE spells and defensive spells.

Summoner - Summons a spirit (benevolent or malign). The Summoner should have to choose which spirit or demon type it wants to summon (Desire Demons, Pride Demons, Spirits of Valor, Spirits of Faith, etc) and the tree is focused on improving that spirit.

Rogue:

Ranger - Summons animals like in DA:O. Include at least one big cat (Leopard, Panther, etc). As with the Summoner, the Ranger must pick only one animal, and the tree is focused on improving that animal.

Bard - Provides sustainable buffs to allies with songs.

Warrior:

Guardian - Protects allies and forces enemies to focus on the Warrior.

Champion - Debuffs enemies and buffs allies with War Cries.

I would love for the legionnaire scout to make a comeback. I loved the class. I would also like for them to make reavers a better class. In addition there should quests to unlock some quests. Maybe save a legionnaire and he teaches you as a gift
