Mass Effect 3 had more than just Tuchanka and Rannoch

[*]come on really? it's basically horde mode, wave after wave of reapers untill the missile is ready of which you can just run up to it or stand there and press.....no challenge whatsoever and a pathetic way to end the gameplay side of a trilogy.Humakt83 wrote...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
You're joking, right?
I'm serious. To be precise I'm talking about missile launch battle where you are surrounded by Reaper forces. I play on the hardest difficulties and there that battle was a welcome challenge.

You make many good points in your opening post.
But you've got to admit.
The Krogan and Quarian story arcs were the best parts of the game.
I wish there was a third story arc.
Dragon Age Origins gave me some pretty satisifying arcs. (SPOILERS AHEAD)
https://encrypted-tb...Hte6kykGMwILwqA
Origins: Any of the 6 Origin stories. They were all fantastic.
Dalish Elves: Warewolves, Witherfang and Tuvok as a badass mage.
Circle Tower: Templars vs Mages, malificar, blood magic and daemons.
Dwalves: The Deep Roads, Dwalven Politics, the cast system
Daemon Child
The Grey Wardens vs Logain
Just fantastic.
I enjoyed Dragon Age Origins.
Just when I thought I had seen it all, there was a brand new story arc that enticed me.
Decisions had a lot of weight to them.
The ending was a slideshow, but if was fun to see consequences for my actions.
Mass Effect 3: Has the same plot of Dragon Age Orgins (unite everyone against a common foe). It had some great story arcs. But sadly had fetch quests and boring side missions. (Though many of the Dragon Age Origin side missions were also quite tedius)

My favorite mission is actually Palavens moon. Seeing the Reapers walk about in the background and seeing Palaven on fire was amazing.
I was thinking, "how come we can't visit Palaven"?
But it did look awesome!

Initial battle: Easy stuff.
First wave: Easy stuff.
Second wave: die to Banshees and Marauders numerous times.
Third wave: Harvester is easy.
Fourth wave: Numerous brutes. Tough wave.
Final wave: Oh ****.
I play on PC, first time with Vanguard on Hardcore difficulty (I didn't use armor penetrating ammo). Second time with Engineer on Insanity.
Last time with Infiltrator on Insanity; yeah, I bet most people who complain game is too easy are playing with Infiltrator.
But sure, SP would benefit from added difficulty level:

Agreed. I never implied otherwise.

Mass Effect 3 had more good stuff than just those missions aligned with Krogan Cure and Geth vs Quarians. I see those two are mentioned as only saving graces of ME 3 fairly often. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, of course, but I feel I must highlight some other stuff that was made well in ME 3.

Considering that you have an apparent reading incomprehension and suffer from impatience, I wouldn't judge people fools if I were you.

Why not, this is the internet and loudmouthed psychopathy is the norm.
Anyway, IMO there are plenty of cool moments in even crappy missions to make them better. My pilot died in Priority:Earth, and everything after that was intense as hell, knowing there was no way back and the suddeness of his death, [i had no clue you could save him] just made me feel like i wasn't in Kansas anymore.
I also liked retaking the Citadel quite a bit, simply because the first time i did the mission i couldn't believe Cerberus had the balls to A) Try and take it, and
I also liked the mission on Thessia because it really highlighted the massive amount of sacrifice that the war required, and how ultimately pointless it could all be. Also when the Prothean VI informed me that Cerberus was indoctrinated, up till that point I thought TIM was just doing things his way, implanting guys with Reaper tech to ensure their Loyality. Learning that their entirety was basically an indoctrinated Reaper army made me crap my pants. Also, that you lost.

I really enjoyed the gameplay and the story was acceptable.
I even enjoyed the auto dialog... at least it was better than garrus telling me 100 times he has to calibrate that ****ing cannon...
Though then came priority:earth...
Unfortunately, on each playthrough I found new issues with the plot too.
So they actually were no real playthroughs because I lost interest in finishing the game.
They usually end after thessia, because stuff starts getting weird at this stage.
But probably it's just because I know priority:earth is coming soon. Who knows...

Right! Metallic skinned animals and plants with leathery leafs? I want to see that! Tuchanka is just desert and Rannoch is just New Mexico. Palaven could have been one of the few truly alien worlds we'd visit!
Although I did like the moon mission. It was Mass Effect's Saving Private Ryan mission.

I just didn't experience the same level of immersion that I did for Mass Effect 2 or Dragon Age Origins where I played well into the early hours.
I still very much dislike the auto-dialogue and that does seriously hurt replay value for me. I do however believe this Omega DLC could be spectacular.

Rannoch was all right. I don't understand why Legion dies when his upload needed more data. And I'm not sure why the Reapers would upgrade the geth to be more individual and not just slaves like they did with the heretics for ME1.... but other than those little complaints Rannoch works well.
...
...the rest of ME3 is either all right or stupid because it retcons choices or negates them to the point that any choice you made results in the same outcome. Tuchanka is king for ME3. I wish the rest of the game was as well handled as it was.

Tuchunka (includes Sur'Kesh), Rannoch, combat, squad interaction, music, tying up other stories in the game,
It also did some things very poorly
Treatment of ME2 romances, Cerberus portrayal, auto dialogue, everything relating to Liara or Thessia. The Mars mission was a good idea but the Crucible is quite simply the worst thing to ever happen to ME.

For me it's a tie between ME2 and ME3.

That mission was pretty incredible as it gave the game a galactic perspective and it was a reminder that there was way more at stake than just humanity.
