First, Im sorry if this has been posted before. I did not follow this forum very closely anymore.
but anyway... just got this in my email, and kind of make me smile in the morning :)

Edit: this pic is legit, its from a GameStop mailer. Forgot to mention this in my original post.

Bullsh*t.

The end either justifies the journey or completely nullifies it. The interpretation is yours. That ad is insulting.

On a side note, OP, your Bailey pic is completely badass.

Lol seriously?
I hate that quote but it's funny that they've resorted to ads like this.

*paragon Interupt* The end in no way justifies the means!

one of my friends in high school died from a vehicular accident at the age of 15..... I am sure that if she had been able to talk during the coma she was in afterward before passing she would have said that her trip that Sunday was totally worth it.....after all it is all about the journey right?

Wow, its nice to see they arn't even trying to defend the ending anymore. This add basically translates to "Buy ME3, its on sale. Yes the endings are complete garbage, however the game is $20 off."

For some reason the quote, "It's not about the destination, it's about the journey," reminds me of this meme...

While I get where you're going with it, I'm going to steer this conversation into being a serious one: in video gaming, the end more times than not justifies or nullifies the journey.

Think about it: In Halo, if ultimately the series ended in a completely disappoiting way, would decimating millions of Covenant forces, destroying two Halo rings and the Ark, saving Cortana from a Flood-infested vessel, et. al be worth it? The answer is no; same with Mass Effect.

This was already in general discussion.

I know some of you were here back when GameStop first did this (remember they had the sale ad that said to not listen to the things you hear about the ending).

Sweet desperation.

The destination does matter if you trip and fall on your nose after nearly beating your best track record.

I've gotten at least 3 emails from amazon telling me to buy Mass Effect Deception. I had a good laugh

I tracked this down and apparently it came from a GameStop ad email. I guess that's called 'truth in advertising?' :D

For the record I got the same Email from Gamespot, I'm not even sure what response to give them other than Fe*k off. I can only imagine that the high street pre-purchase stock for Bioware's next game is going to be low.

If they're buying it from Amazon, they're either stupid or playing a joke on somebody. 1.3 out of 5 stars.
